About Bianca Wright, Property Manager, Elders Real Estate Grafton
Abacus was my private residence until an accident in 2010 left me with a TBI. I started my short term stay business "Abacus on Victoria" as a source of income and knowing that the house had a lot of joy to give.
Bianca Wright, Property Manager, Elders Real Estate Grafton purchased this House in 2003
Why Bianca Wright, Property Manager, Elders Real Estate Grafton chose Grafton
I have a love of history and love of old homes. It was the worst house in the best street. The house was bought as a peach/pink colour with green guttering, lined with pattered masonite, the chimney had been removed and an aluminium window left in its place and the floors were as level as the Great Dividing Range. I found the original shingled roof still in place under the iron roof, which are still visible from inside the roof space. The original wall boards in the kitchen were discovered and I added the french doors leading onto the deck where the chimney once stood. In the back yard near the fence is a pond, where I was gardening and found the original well that had been filled in. The house is filled with collectables and furniture I have collected over the years. The island bench in the kitchen is from my grandparents farm on Carrs Peninsula, further up the Clarence. The 2nd bedroom was my daughters and used to have a multicoloured chandelier, it now has a fan.

Waited 3 hours for key. Place hadn’t been cleaned.
Shocking television connection. Dryer didn’t work.
Apart from these, we still enjoyed our stay in Grafton. Love the restaurants & overall township.
Charming, clean and comfortable
Charming old cottage, decorated to match the era. Beautifully clean and comfortable, we loved our stay.
Amazing weekend getaway
We had such a great time at your property. So immaculate, clean and wonderfully cosy!
Very comfortable, full of nostalgia
Unable to fault this accommodation due to the position in town and the facilities provided. I loved the “ antique “ decor scattered around the cottage, many items I remember from my childhood.
This is our second visit to Abacus and it is like a home away from home. A stunning place with great ammenities. Thank you for letting us share this beautiful place
Stay on Abacus was terrific
Great place to stay, very comfortable, plenty of space for 4 adults. I would happily go back tomorrow!
