My entire group of 6 1st time to NOLA!
It was all of our 1st time in NOLA! We were a group of 6 and we loved it! Our trip there was to celebrate a marriage and birthday. This home was awesome definitely we would all come back! Exactly what we needed a home away from home.

Good neighborhood, lots of character w/ a bunch of walkable eateries, bars, etc. Very close to convention center. Perfect for 3 couples, singles, 1 family or a group of business associates looking to get away from the show-hotel scene.

NOLA @ Qtr Fest April
Missy, the house owner is totally great. Answered emails promptly prior to arrival and phone calls immediately once arrived. Very responsive and helpful with suggestions, information. Townhouse is 2 blks off St. Charles and street car stops, in mixed area with lots of renovations/upgrades just outside Garden District (towards Canal St). Outside looks like pix. It is totally clean, modern, with 3 full, private bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, 1/2 bath downstairs, wood floors throughout. Stocked kitchen supplies, comfortable beds, lots bath towels. We were couple and 2 adults so did not need sofa bed in living room. Four big screen TVs. Wi-Fi. AC and ceiling fans. Driveway for car - we used streetcar & Uber. Walgreens (24 hr) 2 blks, multiple choices of restaurants on St. Charles (walking distance). Markets (Rouses/Fresh Market)- use streetcar in opposite directions - not really walking, especially after long flight. Neighborhood relatively quiet and calm, and walking to and from St. Charles streetcar safe. About 15 min by streetcar to French Qtr (depending on crowd/time day). We would definitely return to this property for future trips.

Great Location within a NOLA neighborhood
My teenage boys & I loved our time in NOLA. I wanted to get a real feel for New Orleans without staying in the tourist trap areas. The townhouse is near the heart of the city, just minutes from the French quarter by car. Next time I wouldn't rent a car. The Trolley Car stops two block away & takes you to all the popular areas of town. Plus, there is a "Blue Bikes' rental station close to the Townhouse. The NOLA area is very flat & would be easy to ride. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We felt safe walking there after dark, but I wouldn't do it without my men along.
The Townhouse itself was very cozy & clean. The living room & every bedroom had it's own TV with cable. The beds were quite comfortable & though I'm picky about my pillows, I was happy with what was made available. With 12'+ ceilings, the rooms felt quite spacious. I enjoyed the feel of an older home, yet appreciated the updated interior. Beautiful!! I was very thankful for the off street parking slot provided with an electric gate opener. I didn't need to worry about vandalism of my rental car & the street parking filled up quickly in the evening.
Missy was awesome!! She was helpful from the time I booked her home until the time we left. After over-researching what to do & see in NOLA, I sent Missy an email & she got right back to me with her suggestions. Of the one's I chose, we were not disappointed. She checked on us mid-week. We were expecting one day of rain (& boy did it rain!) & she suggested several rainy-day things to do & see.
The only reason I didn't give this home 5 stars was the noise. We could hear quite a bit of sound coming through the vents &/or walls from the attached tenants & the street noise was also apparent. From a comment made by one of our tour guides about there being no need for insulation in the walls of buildings in NOLA, I'm assuming there is no insulation in the walls of this Townhouse. And with this said, any other rental might have the same noise issue. I would stay here again, but I would bring earplugs or provide myself with white noise.

NOLA Hospitality in Prime Location
First, Missy is an outstanding hostess. She keeps in close contact, but not intrusively. The place looks great from the outside, but the inside...wow! clean, spacious and fully remodeled with great finishes (the AC is epic.) This is a growing neighborhood, its has an appreciable blend of old and new. The property is secured by an electric gate, so park your car and hit the streets. A few extra gate remotes and house keys are made available. There is even a lockbox in case you have a late night on Bourbon (as things could get lost) and a code to get through the walking gate (so you don't need to carry the gate remote.) Take a pic of the codes on your phone and you're set. After a long day in the city, pass some time upstairs on one of the balconies or start the day with a coffee down below on the covered porch. The townhouse is in an excellent location close to the streetcar (buy your multi day street car tickets at the corner of Felicity & St Charles at Walgreens), also an easy walk to many great restaurants & pubs. Shop around the corner at Fresh Market (drive there, too many goodies to carry home) and cook in the well appointed kitchen. Pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, mugs, dishwasher, coffee maker with a reusable filter, cooking utensils...all there (no baking sheets/pans.) The townhouse is stocked with ample cleaning products to tidy up after yourself, including a vacuum. Not a ton of sundries; bring cooking oils, spices and whatever else your inner chef desires (there is an adequately stocked knife block.) Bath towels galore. Any sort of bedding that you can't sleep without, bring it. As my age advances, the mobility of my neck decreases. Not bringing my own pillow is my fault, not Missy's. We did not find bedding for the pullout couch, so bring that if you plan on using it (possibly overlooked.) There is a comfortable sitting chair, couch & loveseat in the living room. Plus several counter height chairs at the (gorgeous) granite bar. Our group of eight easily found comfort in the living room while all together when cooking, watching cable tv, or reflecting on our day. Wi-Fi works and it can handle numerous devices without a hitch. There is a stackable washer/dryer that we did not use, but it appeared to be in brand new condition. Overall, I've rented numerous single family properties on VRBO and all of them have been great experiences. This one is no exception and I would return at any given oppotunity!
