3 Brm Olde Worlde Cottage
About Rosalie T
Growing up on a wheat & sheep farming property which was settled in the early 1900's, I have always loved everything relating to that period. The furniture, the embroidery, the hairpin lace, the conserving & preserving & the slower pace of life. Hebe Cottage is furnished just like my grandmother's place on the farm with embroidery, crochet doyleys, patchwork cushions & quilts & is tucked away from the hurly burly of life, yet only 10 minutes away from the centre of Albany.
Rosalie T purchased this Cottage in 1982
Why Rosalie T chose Bayonet Head
Hebe Cottage is a short stroll away from Oyster Harbour & the boat ramp. The walks along the harbour are particularly beautiful in the mornings & evenings. Cyclists, joggers & kayakers are welcome & there is a locked shed for their security. The Two Rivers region is close to the King & Kalgan Rivers, beautiful secluded beaches & national parks yet it is only 5 minutes away from the nearest Woolworths at Bayonet Head.
What makes this Cottage unique
You will love the genuine, cast iron beds & furniture from the 1900's. The QB & DB came from the Victorian Goldfields. The single beds were found in Albany. The rest of the furniture was collected over about 5 years. Families are especially welcome & there is an extensive book & DVD library for the kids. Sit & watch the sun going down on the decked area in Summer & Autumn watching all the birds that come to visit the garden. You won't want to leave!

Wonderful accommodation. Love it!
Rosalie welcomed us to her delightful cottage, was readily available if we needed her. The fire was lit making the cottage warm and inviting. Everything you need is there in abundance - like home away from home. Cottage garden a pretty picture with flowers and autumn leaf change. Ultra clean and lots of chairs to sit in. Our favourites were the two "rocking" chairs by the fire. Lovely hot shower. Back verandah has a great view. The cottage is not by the Bay, a walk down the hill and around the corner but worth taking a stroll. Getting into CBD about 15 kms . So much to see and do. We had to cut our stay back from 5 to 3 days to get home to a sick dog. Highly recommend Hebe Cottage and would love to come back.
Relaxing, comfortable, family friendly house.
A wonder Easter break with a warm welcome from Rosalie. She was very helpful and presented a beautiful homely environment for our family. Rosalie pointed us in the right direction for local attractions and eateries. Over all we had an amazing stay in Hebe cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean!
Hebe Cottage is set within lovely gardens in semi rural location, just a small drive out of Albany. We arrived to a glowing wood fire and a friendly welcome. Thoughtful provisions supplied for a quick breakfast and plenty of reading material for Albany and surrounding attractions. The owners are close by for any queries and provided great assistance during our stay. Highly recommend a stay at Hebe Cottage.
A thoughtfully stocked house in a peaceful setting.
Our 6 night stay at Hebe Cottage was just lovely - Rosalie met with us on arrival and showed us the house and gave ideas for sightseeing during our time there.
The house itself has all the comforts of home - including all those things you take for granted at home but miss in a holiday stay: foil, paper towel, containers for packed lunches... PLUS: as the other reviews have mentioned - we were left some delicious home baked bread, eggs, enough milk for our stay, butter and marmalade - and assorted breakfast (and other) goodies in the pantry.
The ONLY thing that would have made this a 6/5 stay is if there was a coffee shop within walking distance (but that says more about me and my caffeine addiction tha Hebe Cottage :))
We also enjoyed feeding the birds (seed supplied (of course :)), walking down along by the river/inlet in the morning/evening and listening to the peace and watching the pelicans.
I look forward to visiting again.
Thanks, Rosalie, for your hospitality.
The best location in Albany, wonderful property with everything you need and fantastic hosts!
This was our third holiday staying at Hebe cottage. The property is on a lovely block with wonderful gardens and lots of birds and the location is perfect, as it is in a quite street very close to Oyster Harbour. The house has everything you need, so all you have to bring is your clothes and camera. Rosalie and Wayne are great hosts and always so helpful with tips and information about the best things to do and where to go in and around the area. We loved our holiday and will be back again next year!
Thankyou for your lovely review.
We were delighted to show you where the Albany Pitcher Plants grow in nearby Gull Rock National Park. There is nothing quite like local knowledge.

Wonderful time at Hebe Cottage
We stayed for 6 nights at the very cozy and comfortable Hebe Cottage with its beautiful rose garden, large patio and very comfortable and well-equipped house, it was a dream holiday stay! Rosalie was a very hospitable host, making sure the house had not just the essential items needed for our stay, but surprised us with many thoughtful additions like a child’s table and chairs which my little girl loved sitting in and freshly-baked bread on our arrival, which was so nice. The house is also very clean, well-laid out, fully furnished and decorated with home-made Christmas ornaments, it was quite charming. Location-wise, it was great being separated from neighbours, being so quiet you can only hear the gentle cooing of wood doves at night. There is a great little petrol kiosk and Woolworths less than 5 mins away and the Albany town centre about 5 kms, so everything is within easy reach. Many thanks to Rosalie for being such a gracious hostess, we will be back! Hebe Cottage comes highly recommended!
