Cabin at the Creek is a dedicated vacation rental located about 15 minutes from town and most area attractions. It is in a sublime meadow with direct access to S. Sylamore Creek (pronounced like Sycamore). You will experience full immersion with Ozark Hollow Living and most creature comforts for 8 people.

* County, state and tourism tax included in price

* Last 1 mile to the cabin is steep gravel road. Sedans can make it okay. Motorcycles, not so much. If it snows while you're here, be prepared to stay a while. As mentioned I live downstream a bit with a 4x4 truck and can assist - after it's melted some.

* Cell signals iffy depending on carrier and location at the cabin. There is a booster installed. Wifi calling and texting now available on newer model smart phones. Needs to be activated in advance. Also plenty of apps on the market that can keep you connected via wifi.

Cabin is 1300sf+-. 2 levels with ground level covered porch and upstairs deck for stargazing. It is located about 100 yards above the flood plane of the creek. You amble down the meadow to access the creek. Creek is good always except in high water events. You can expect it to be about 1-3 foot deep on average. It is spring fed, year round, gin clear and healthy. Trout will run it winter months. Smallmouh fishing is possible during higher water levels. (Please catch and release the smallies)

There is a smaller "cabin-ette" near the main cabin that sleeps 2 with bath and kitchenette. As of 9/15/16 it is not listed or marketed as available. Some work is forthcoming to create distinct privacy between the two. If your group would like to spread out and have access to it or insure there are no other guests booked during your arrival, please reach out to us.

Guests have access to home and all amenities including stocked kitchen and W/D, wifi and internet streaming TV, creek frontage with easy creek access, bonfire area, grill and starlight that will melt you.

This is my friend Emily's cabin. I've been living on this creek for 10 years. My hospitality hobby is now my profession. I will manage all details of your stay and insure you have all questions answered and are a satisfied and returning guest! I'm in touch by text, phone and email before during and after your stay. I can help make intros to local musicians, outdoors folks and artisans if you ask. Most likely you'll never see me, but I'm not far at all. Gravity keeps me pretty close to this creek. Speaking of, have you heard about our local craft brewery? Gravity Brew Works?

Upon booking confirmation you will receive an area guide and recommendations from myself and some pals. This will also include more details about the immediate environs. Directions. keyed access. trash. etc.

About Ivy Vacations LLC

Emily Conley — An outdoors enthusiast and small town girl at heart, Emily Conley was first introduced to Mountain View when she signed up to run the Sylamore 25k trail race in 2009 with a group of friends. She came back every year for the event and eventually purchased a small cabin in 2014, which we now call Studio at the Creek. She and her three kids have made many wonderful memories in Mountain View and come from their home in Memphis as often as possible to fish, hike, swim, and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the area. Emily has continued to invest in this remarkable area which she says feels like home.

Beautiful place to visit

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over New Years weekend and everything was just great. The owners are awesome and even sent someone out to bring us more firewood when we ran out. The scenery is beautiful, the cabin is very clean and accommodating. Bring lots of food and drinks so you dont have to leave since things are a little far out if you do. Definitely will be back again!

We stayed at the Meadow Cabin over New Years weekend and everything was just excellent. The two owners are super friendly and accommodated us well. The cabin is exactly how you see on the pictures. Beautiful, cozy and clean. We will definitely come back again when its warmer!

We had an awesome short stay. Our experience started off with a frozen pipe, but the staff tirelessly worked to get things running for us. We were very grateful we were able to stay because of their diligence. The rest of our stay was wonderful. We spent such great quality time as a family and the weather warmed up for the kids to explore outside. The only thing we would change would be the upstairs restroom door. It’s a sliding door and doesn’t completely close. So, it’s not very private. However, we slid a towel under the doors to keep it closed so that both restrooms could be of use. The scenery won’t disappoint and you do feel disconnected from the busy world. Yet, you’re close enough to town should you forget or need something. We most definitely plan to go back!

Loved the cabin! Loved the setting!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week on Sylamore creek! The cabin was so inviting; from the perfect morning coffee spot with all of the windows, fully stocked kitchen, gas fireplace and the fire pit outside (firewood included) provided the best star gazing I've experienced. Total 360 unobstructed! I loved spotting bald eagles and belted kingfishers cruising the creek. It was a great home base to hike sections of North Sylamore Creek Trail, visit the Buffalo National River, listen to local music and shop on the MV historic court square. And my little pup Red was welcome. :) Thank you Emily and Virginia! I definitely want to return.

Absolutely took my breath away.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the meadow cabin for two nights, for a quick little me trip with my dogs, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. My dogs loved running around in the meadow so much, they didn't want to leave, and the creek behind the house was so beautiful! Sitting by the fire in the evenings, lookinh up at the stars with a glass of wine. Quiet, peaceful, secluded, everything I wanted. Worth every penny, and every hour in the car!
