Seven of us stayed here for a Friendsgiving, and we had an absolute blast. The location is great and the house is very well furnished (from the kitchen and everything else you could think of) and extremely clean, and the owner had great communication. The house is super charming, and with that come a few quirks, which make it unique. My only complaint would be that the pillows on the beds could use updating as they were pretty flat, but that's really minor, so maybe bring your own. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of linens. Definitely make an effort to eat at Louise's Kitchen for breakfast and Milton's for a nice dinner!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alabama Jubilee. Convenient to everything in the area. We plan to be back, and bring more folks to enjoy the house and of course Montreat and Black Mountain.
Roomy and comfortable!
We loved this house! It is surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery so it is shady and cool both on the front porch and the back patio, where we sat for hours enjoying the lovely mountain air. Inside there was lots of room for a family of five plus the grandmother. We had company for a cookout one night and the dining room held the eight of us with room to spare! Everyone had his own room and there were plenty of bathrooms, too. Not to mention the wonderful kitchenette on the upper floor! There's a working fireplace in the living room and a grill out back. The pantry and fridge are stocked with staples so guests don't have to buy salt and pepper and other basic necessities for a two-night stay. The contact person was super nice and very efficient. She was friendly and told me all about the house and the family. She gave me all the details about the house, told me all the neat things to do in the area, and was available by phone during our stay to answer questions and help us out. She even brought us a bag of ice to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is located perfectly, too! Close to Montreat College, and close to all the fun in Black Mountain. Again, we had a wonderful stay and would rent this house again!
Wonderful gathering of old friends!
The house was wonderful and more! The history that was throughout the house peaked our interest from the moment we opened the door. We were ten women reuniting after our 50th high school reunion and wanted a peaceful quite space to revisit old memories and create new ones. We certainly accomplished that and more. If the house has ears, I think it enjoyed itself too! We had more than enough space for everyone to have privacy when needed and the living space was a cozy spot that we gathered every morning and evening. We shared all of dinner meals in the large dining room. The paths for walking were great and as hard or easy as you wanted them to be. It was a great way to start the day!! I think Alabama Jubilee will be a great return for a family vacation in my future!
Thank you Dianna! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Jubilee!
