Located 10 minute walk to Salema and the beach (500 m) over looking the sea.
Casa Alvorada is a town house divided into two apartments.19A and 19B.
Apartment 19A is on the ground and the first floor. It sleeps 4-6 people in 2-3 bedrooms. This apartment has a front balcony facing East with a sea view and a secluded rear patio garden for the afternoon sun. The apartment may be booked as a
2 bedroom and 1 bathroom apartment
or as a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment.
On entering the apartment from the ground floor, there is the third bedroom with en suite and if you go up the stairs to the first floor there is the main living area and two bedrooms and further bathroom.
Apartment 19B is all on the second floor, and has 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people, it has a large front balcony and up some stairs is the secluded private roof terrace both with views of Salema, the beach and sea.
The house is less than a ten minute walk to the beach and the centre of the beautiful traditional fishing village of Salema. To the rear of the property is the Costa Vicentina National Park and walk 50 meters through the pine trees for uninterrupted views of the national park with its fantastic coastal walks and secluded beaches waiting to be discovered.
In Salema there are a number of good restaurants and cafes and a couple of small bars. There is also 2 small supermarkets.
There is a larger Intermarche supermarket 10 minutes drive away, in Budens, which gives a larger choice of groceries. There is also a Lidl in Vila Do Bispo which is 15 minutes drive towards Sagres.
All linen is provided and is of the best quality, we also provide beach towels. The apartment is cleaned and the linen changed weekly.

About Sally Lawson/Bob Parsons
Hi. We fell in love with Salema and the surrounding coastline many years ago. Then in 2008, having sold a property in the UK, we realised our dream and purchased the house in Salema. We called the house Casa Alvorada, as the sun rise can be seen every day throughout the year. We usually spend 3 to 4 months a year in Salema, sharing the house with our family and friends. We visit usually winter , spring and autumn. We always stay in 19B apartment which is a second home for us, we love it there and never get fed up with the amazing view. We love the area and spend our time making improvements to the house, playing golf , walking in the beautiful countryside and on deserted beaches in the winter. We visit local Portuguese restaurants to enjoy the local food and wine, all at great value. We welcome you to our home and to share with us this wonderful part of the world. Our home is in the village of Rothley in Leicestershire. We are both retired, and always look forward to our next visit to Salema. Hopefully you will join us there. Bob & Sally

Lots of room with all the extras you need
We stayed in the middle apartment. You can watch the sunrise in the morning from your window. Both terraces are really nice to have. Sally has included many little items that really make your stay wonderful such as a cooler bag, ice packs, beach umbrella and many other things like that. The apartment is spacious and clean. I would highly recommend it. You would want to have a car.

For us a perfect three weeks stay
We have been going to Salema for about 30 years now and I can say that Sally and Bob's apartment is by far the one we have enjoyed the most. For us the location is a perfect spot to start walking from with the best beaches within easy reach, Salema village just a stroll down the hill and the golf course just a few minutes drive away. The apartment is a home from home with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean when we arrived with enough supplies in the fridge to see us through the evening and breakfast - a very thoughtful touch. The terrace and little garden area are ideal for chilling out (literally as there are shady areas) and the barbecue is an excellent addition to the facilities. Pauline and Michael who look after the property are very attentive and full of local knowledge. We have already recommended the apartment to our friends and will certainly consider taking it again ourselves.

Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans cette maison très calme et très acceuillante qui offre une vue magnifique sur la plage de Saléma. À recommencer!!
We stayed in apt 19b and it was ideal. Lovely views, very comfortable and well equipped, especially the kitchen. We instantly relaxed and felt at home. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Salema is quiet with relaxing beach and a range of cafes and restaurants which suit a variety of needs. From there with a car, wilder west coast beaches are accessible as are towns such as Lagos with good beaches but also tourist trips and a wider range of shops and restaurants. Our adult family and two small grandchildren stayed in 19A which was also ideal for the larger group with outdoor spaces and comfortable indoor facilities too. Everyone had their own space but could combine for meals and relaxation. Close enough to town centre and beach not to need the car all the time. Good parking and access to beach equipment which was very helpful too.
Lovely apartment in a lovely village
We stayed in the 1st floor apartment - comfortable, clean, a well-equipped kitchen and two large and very pleasant outdoor spaces to sit and read or have meals. The apartment was also lovely and cool even though the weather was very hot, so no uncomfortable hot sleepless nights. It's a steep walk down to the beach but very short and easy and well worth it when you get there. Sally was extremely helpful when we were booking and it certainly lives up to the description. Would most certainly recommend.
Wonderful apartment in a beautiful place
Sally's apartment is a great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere in Salema. It's spacious, clean, well-equipped and in a great location (close to the water). There are many hiking trails nearby for those who want to explore the beautiful surroundings but the apartment has two patios for those who want to spend a day relaxing in the sun. As for Sally, she is extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with. Definitely recommend staying here!

Only a one hour drive from Faro airport on the A22 toll motorway, Salema is 15 kms west of Lagos and 15 kms east of Sagres.
Salema is a traditional Portugese fishing village with a blue flag sandy beach over 1 km long,washed up the tide. excellent beach bars and 10 restaurants.
Other nearby attractions are: Sagres and Cape St Vincent, the West coast surfing beaches . Cape St Vincent National Park. The mountains around Monchique -The old Lagos town and the Marina. Golf 4 corses in the area.St Antonio ( Parque de Floresta )- 10 minutes, Palmares Golf -30 mins. Espice Golf and Boa Vista .
