Great cabin with deck and lots of back yard.
Wonderful cabin and property, so close to the hiking and biking trail heads, Hooker falls, Triple falls, and Ceaser's head state park. We had a great time and are planning on coming back soon. Thanks for the hospitality, Nate.
Very quaint and peaceful
We were there for my daughter's wedding & it was an ideal location for Pretty Place Chapel, community center, & Terra Nova.
Perfect location for DuPont
We had a great stay over the long Memorial Day weekend. Despite the weather being uncooperative, we enjoyed our time at the cottage and everything the area had to offer. Alison provided great communication before and during our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a convenient place close to DuPont.
Great Location. Not a great place to hang out.
We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Mountain Cottage. The Cedar Mountain Cafe is a great place to eat. DuPont Forest and beautiful waterfalls are nearby. The Biltmore House is about an hour away. The location is great. The actual cottage is a bit disappointing. It's adequate - but it's not a place we felt like spending time hanging out. So we have mixed feelings. The overall experience was good. But I doubt that we'll visit Cedar Mountain Cottage in the future.
Just what was needed!
We were in Cedar Mountain to attend a "Celebration" service in Hendersonville for my dad who recently passed away, and Alison was more than accommodating in making this happen for us on such short notice. The cottage was quaint and cozy and was just the retreat we needed to reflect on the weekends activities.
I look forward to being able to stay here again under happier circumstances and have the time to explore the area and see the waterfalls and outdoor chapel. Would recommend this property to anyone!
We were so glad that it was a retreat space for you during a challenging time! Hope you'll be able to return some day when the sun is shining and your family can really get out and enjoy the mountain adventures. All the best to you all this holiday season...
Very relaxing and quiet mountain getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the mountain cottage! Being just minutes away from the waterfalls was ideal, along with being able to see the stars at night while relaxing next to the fire pit was extremely relaxing!
We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet mountain getaway, that is also close to many hiking and outdoors activities!
The Cedar Mountain Cottage is an easy-access rental to natural play spaces. Just 15-20 minutes from the quaint mountain town of Brevard, NC, the Cottage is less than 2 miles from DuPont State Forest and 4 miles to Caesar's Head State Park. Come stay on the mountain or venture out into Pisgah National Forest (20 minutes) or go for a walk in downtown Brevard. DuPont is known for its abundant waterfalls, hiking trails, and strong mountain biking trails. Caesar's Head boasts incredible mountain views looming over the Blue Ridge escarpment out onto Table Rock SP and the foothills of South Carolina. And Pisgah National Forest is a sightseers dream as well as an adventurers playground.
Cedar Mountain, NC boasts its own small-town bar (the Cedar Mountain Canteen--seasonal), a delicious cafe (the Cedar Mountain Cafe) that serves breakfast and lunch 7 days/week and dinner Thursday-Saturday with a focus on local and regional home-cooked foods--both a stone's throw from the Cottage. Cedar Mountain also often has live bluegrass music between various small town venues, and the Whistlestop Market--a regional farmer's market just a few miles down the road (fresh produce, gourmet cheeses, local meats, and a great selection of beer and wine)--just 3 miles down the road on your way to Brevard.
Don't just take it from us, enjoy a stay at the Cedar Mountain Cottage and explore for yourself!
