Why Tom Moldovan chose Columbia Falls
During a hiking trip to the majestic Glacier National Park and Canadian Rockies this summer we simply fell in love with the place and it's surroundings. We immediately decided to find a vacation home in the area and reserved one day for property hunting. We discovered this little miracle of a cabin that was wonderfully maintained and cared for by the previous owners. We are so thankful to them.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is located in a relatively remote area, 8 miles north of Columbia Falls, in between Glacier National Park and the Whitefish Ski Resort. A small creek borders the property and the silence and the night sky are simply amazing. The area is excellent habitat for wildlife, mainly elk, deer and birds, but also the occasional moose and it is rural and serene with mountain views and amazing outdoor recreation possibilities nearby. All this while featuring most comforts of modern life. The log construction is really solid, build in rare Scandinavian style, with great views from the main living area, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and true mountain living. Cabin is also ideal for access to the less traveled North Fork side of the park, especially the beautiful Bowman and Kintla lakes, true gems in the wilderness.

So very happy
We used this property as our headquarters for our 3 generation vacation to Glacier. Grandpa enjoyed coffee on the deck, our teenage son enjoyed the creek, and I loved having so much space.
Beautiful space! And what a view!!
The only suggestion I would have is to add a few kitchen utensils. Flipping pancakes and sunny-side-up eggs was a challenge with what was there, but made for some fun memories anyway!
Thank you so much Kelley and Jeff! We are really glad you had a good time. We promise next time you come the kitchen will be stocked with pancake flipping gear. :) Thanks again.
Perfect accomodations in a great location.
Great stay at Astrid cabin. The location is remote enough to have deer walking through the property, but still close enough to where the drive to Columbia Falls is quite short. We did not lack any amenities in the kitchen and there was a gas grill on the deck ready to use. The heating was adequate without using the wood fired stove. The creek down the hill was a real joy and you could hike down and enjoy it close up, or just open the back door to the cabin and listen to the water. If we ever go back, we definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful time relaxing at the cabin. We are hoping to go back.
The creek was a nice treat!
Thank you, Debra and family! We are happy you enjoyed your stay. You are always welcome back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous cabin. Everything was so clean, had everything we needed there. There was a creek right by the house which was fun to enjoy. The owners were so accommodating for our stay. We would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a place to stay, would love to come back in the future!
The cabin is beautiful and the trail leading to creek is awesome.
Had a great time. Property is surrounded by huckleberry bushes all around. Yum! We utilized the fire pit at night, it was such a great experience. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of cookware.
