Should not be allowed to rent to people

  • 1 of 5

This was a terriable experience. The place was so old and filled with mold I couldn’t even make it through one night. It made me extremely sick to be there.

I wasted a lot of money, that as a single mother, I do not have. What I thought would be a nice relaxing vacation, turned into a hellacious experience. DONT STAY HERE!!!!

Enjoyable stay

  • 4 of 5

The home is a very quaint place. It has all the necessary items to make the stay comfortable. The stairs to go to the second level are definitely an adventure. The noise from the highway was the only negative.

Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

Has everything you need for a short (or long) stay. Great location - if you don't mind the busy road in front.

I ENJOYED TRIP BUT

  • 2 of 5

An old quirky house needs some updating. The climb up to the second floor might be Ok for young kids, but tough to navigate for this 73 year old. The mattresses were uncomfortable. It was nice weather and we wanted to leave windows down but the noise from the road was loud as the property sits less than 50 feet from the main road thru Bay View. We paid a cleaning fee as part of our costs, it could use a really good cleaning to get rid of musty smell when you arrive.

Cute Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time staying at this cottage. The size was perfect for our family with young children. Although it is located on a busy road, it is still a very close walk to a quiet neighborhood, the bike path, and the view of the water. We would recommend staying here!

Sweet cottage in beautiful Bay View

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Making Memories very much. The home is centered between shops and activities with Little Traverse Wheelway access across the street. The home does not have a direct view of the bay and is located on a busy highway, but none of that interfered with how we spent our time or enjoyed our stay. Seeing the water and beautiful sunsets is a short walk or bike ride away. Being an older home, rooms are small and cozy. The beds are twin and full size. The upstairs is best for children and teenagers. Those fitting a 'Big and Tall' description may feel cramped on the stairs and in the bedrooms with angled ceilings and roof lines.

We enjoyed biking the Wheelway in addition to the North Western Trail. We spent a day on the beach and hiking in Petoskey State Park. Pirates Cove mini golf is the most fun course we've ever played. On a rainy day, we enjoyed laser tag and bowling at Northern Lights Recreation. Spicy Bob's Italian Express has delicious and CHEAP pizza deals. D&W Fresh Market is a beautiful, local grocery store with a Starbucks inside. We had an 'okay' dining experience at Petoskey Brewing. We visited the Bob In Again twice for delicious custard in a 50's style diner.

Jeni was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. No major issues, only clarifying trash and recycling pick up. If we travel to this area again, I would not hesitate to stay in this home.
