A scenic 10-minute walk through nearby Dufferin Grove Park takes you to the subway and access to all of Toronto. Our tastefully (and playfully) appointed apartment is a home-away-from-home.                               This property is on a quiet residential street yet only a few minutes walk from all the shops,

                              restaurants and bars on College Road and Dundas Street West. A superb location and a comfortable apartment, I would not hesitate to recommend this property and will certainly use

                              it again when visiting the area.

                              We were in Toronto to visit family and friends. The property was clean and comfortable and as described on the site. The location is excellent, being very close to public transportation directly into the downtown core. There are an abundance of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance and it is very close to a major shopping mall with good grocery store and superstore. The apartment is on the upper level of a house so there are a lot of stairs to navigate so may not be ideal for some. The kitchen doesn't have a full sized oven but this wasn't a problem. Otherwise, the kitchen was very well equipped. There was no telephone landline in the apartment so had to rely mostly on contacting family and friends via the reliable WiFi available throughout the apartment. One of the property owners lives downstairs so when we had a problem with the Apple TV box (no regular TV channels) she was able to respond immediately. We rented a car for a couple of days and it was easy to obtain a temporary on street parking permit on line from the city and had no problem finding space to park (note that parking changes from one side of the street to the other side for Thursdays then back again Friday!). Overall we spent a very comfortable week here and would hope to be able to rent again on our next visit. Many thanks!

                              In our renovation, we discussed putting in a landline and decided against it. Same thing with the TV and the oven. Our reasoning was that we thought people coming to visit wouldn't want to watch TV very often or use an oven. They are in Toronto to visit the sites. We mainly use our computers for news so we thought guests would use Netflix more than regular TV.

                              So glad we opted for Little Portugal. Apartment very well equipped. Multiple transportation options close by. Our favorite--the trolley on Dundas 3 blocks away--a movable feast of ethnic restaurants to try on the way downtown. Local hangouts for us were Brazilian bakery on Dundas, Maria's on College for Portuguese bar snacks, & Arabesque Middle Eastern for lunch (closes at 6:00). For everything else Dufferin Mall is about 4 blocks away with lots of mid-priced shops, a Walmart, etc.

                              This is a great choice for curious, energetic travelers. Might be problematic for elderly--steep stairs to 2nd floor and small steps into bath.and kitchen. Could work for baby or toddler because there is a safety gate to block stairs and a baby seat in closet.

                              Very convenient location - walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants and transit. Upper level dwelling is sufficient in size for two- pullout couch in second bedroom; however, no air conditioning in second bedroom. Hot and humid in the summer time. One window mounted air conditioner in the bedroom. This makes the bedroom very chilly, but the cool air does not dissipate well to the rest of the residence. Main living space is a large kitchen- seating is not overly comfortable, but the kitchen is very roomy and we found all we needed here. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was average. We found the cleanliness could have been improved, but it was overall well-maintained. For the nightly price, we thought the dwelling was a bit lacking. The owner provided good customer service.

                              Thank you. We appreciate the feedback. The window AC was installed because that room faces west and can get extra hot on sunny, summer days. This AC has a remote control so the tenant can adjust the temperature to their liking. We will do a better job of leaving instructions for that AC unit so guests know how to adjust ambient temperature to their liking.

                              On the cleaning; We have professionals come in between ALL guests. We would appreciate it if you would indicate any areas that you thought were not up to expectations so that we can ensure it doesn't happen again.

                              I stayed here for a work trip and the location was ideal, as the apartment is in walking distance to the (easily navigated) subway and 2 blocks away from Dundas Street West. Apartment very comfortable: lovely bed and a great bathroom. The kitchen was fantastic as I was cooking a lot, and it has everything needed. Owners were always accessible and very helpful with all my everyday queries--they also know the city very well. Both College Street and Dundas Street West have funky, good boutiques, wine bars (elevated to an art in Toronto) and restaurants so that going-out options are all within walking distance. Bloor Street slightly to the north is also worth exploring. Overall a great place to stay.
