Good but not great!
We stayed in Villa Hodgkinson for a long weekend having travelled from New Zealand to support our neice in a Tran-Tasman Youth Tournament.
Every detail that Serviced Houses gave us in relation to access to the property was perfect. The directions forwarded to me were easy to follow and 100% correct.
The house was neat, tidy and presented nicely. The kitchen area smelt a bit when we arrived, but we put that down to it not having been aired for a while and the fact that it was quite hot in Sydney that week / weekend.
There were a few things we weren’t so happy about with the house however:
1. The refuse and recycling bins outside were both absolutely full.
2. We took the instructions to heart and were very conscious of safety and making sure that we had put the alarm on and locked all doors. On one occasion we even locked the screen door which ended in a call out to the Emergency Contact as we hadn’t been given the right key to unlock the screen door and couldn’t get back into the house. Over an hour waiting outside in the heat did not make for happy campers.
3. The beds were atrocious. I have never, in all my travels, slept on beds that were so hard and uncomfortable.
4. I take it that house is simed at the more discerning travellers however, there were no extras provided. There was dishwashing liquid and dishwasher powder (thank you) but none of the extra touches we would have thought should have been provided for the rates paid.
