This is an "ohana" (Hawaiian for "family") addition to our Sunset Beach View House (listing #877504). It is attached and downstairs from our main house, which is much bigger and sleeps 8 to 10.
Downstairs is usually where we stay when we come to the island. It is cozy and quiet and has a great view of the North Shore. It has one queen bed and a queen sofa hide-a-bed, so it's great for two to four people. Everything is new from the flooring to the ceiling, and we even got new furniture. It's a nice, quiet place that is a 6 or 7 minute walk from the beach.
Our Ohana is close to everything! At the bottom of the road is Ted's Bakery, famous for pies and a lot more! Try lunch there, but be warned of the large portions! And besides the beach, we are a five minute drive from Turtle Bay and its beautiful golf course and famous restaurants; a few more minutes to BYU Hawaii campus, the Mormon temple, and the world famous Polynesian Cultural Center.
Going the other way from our Ohana are more world famous beaches; Sunset, Pipeline, Waimea, and more. Shark's Cove for snorkling is a five or six minute drive. There's also the beautiful Waimea Valley and Falls with hundreds of varieties of native and other plants, flowers and trees
About 15 minutes away is the wonderful little town of Hale'iwa. You went right by it driving from the airport. Great shopping and restaurants and a feel for the rural towns of Hawai'i that you can't get in Honolulu. You can even get surfing lessons!
