About adele wilson
I grew up in The Netherlands and worked there as a teacher in arts/textiles for many years. In my 30th I migrated to Australia and worked as an arts therapist in a MS day centre. After that I joined my husband Ross in his health food shop and also ran a health cafe with gourmet catering for quite a few years. A few years ago we started renovating the historic Manse. I myself designed and created all the interiors while Ross designed and build all the rockeries and gardens. We are very proud of what we have achieved to bring this 1862 home back to it's former glory and much more. In 2015 the homestead was ready for accommodation as a peaceful retreat.
adele wilson purchased this House in 1999
Why adele wilson chose Lancefield
We looked for quite a few years for a property with character and the feeling of peace. We travelled often through the Macedon Ranges and found the area of Lancefield having a peaceful energy. By devine guidance we were drawn to this property as soon it went on the market. From that very first day we felt we were the chosen guardians of this property and that should be enjoyed by others.
What makes this House unique
This homestead was build for the minister of the Presbyterian church. This was ones the home for many families for the ministers from the church. The house is full of original features, all the fire places are intact and the original cooking fire place is still as it was in the 1800's. The grounds have tree's over 100 yrs old which gives the property its ambiance and tranquility.

Four sisters' stay at the Manse Review
Thanks for the 5 ***** for your sisters get-to-gether at The Manse.
And I am pleased to hear you will be back again also to enjoy the beautiful gardens.
Wonderful for family gathering
Beautifully decorated, but felt like home. Nice to have basic kitchen amenities provided. Lovely and warm in winter both in temperature and comfort. Many different rooms for different purposes- quiet lounge, dining room by fire, indoor patio with pot belly fireplace. Loved the jonquils. Plenty of parking. Easy access. Quiet. Loved our time!
It's wonderful that you and family loved what this beautiful homestead has to offer. A home away from home. Many thanks. Adele
Marvelous weekend at The Manse
From the moment Adele greeted us with a plate of nibbles and a lovely bottle of bubbly, followed by a tour of this wonderful old house we knew we were in for a good weekend. The fridge and pantry were well stocked with all the essentials and more. A lovely birthday card and party hats were the icing on the cake as we celebrated a milestone birthday. Large comfortable bedrooms made for good nights sleep. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Brilliant. Wishing you many celebrations to come. Adele
Beautiful home, everything you need & more for a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend The Manse!
Thanks for your stay on one of the coldest weekends this winter.
I'm happy the heaters and wood fires kept you all lovely warm.
Great there was a break in the clouds to explore the outside.
Well appointed historic house on the main road to Lancefield in proximity to wineries and forests!
A gorgeous house to stay in for up to nine people. Lovely gardens great for reading and strolls. The kitchen is well appointed to cook for big dinners albeit small if more than two to three people in there at the same time. It’s close enough to Melbourne that people can come up for the day easily to see you. Adele and Ross are welcoming hosts, leaving lots of treats to make your stay comfortable.
Exceeded our expectations
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was equipped with everything you might need and it was beautifully presented. My family (including a 2 year old) stayed with another couple and the set up was perfect. I highly recommend this property.
Lovely and very appreciative. Great to have you Rebecca staying with us. Many thanks to your all to leave the house immaculate. You are very welcome to stay again. Adėle
