About Heather Burt
I moved to Manuel Antonio in Aug of 2004 because I simply fell in love with the delightful Costa Rican people and the convergence of powerful elements all meeting in one place - the mighty Pacific Ocean, the strong sun, the wildness of the jungle, the tropical animals and foods, the strong winds and rains . . . We lived there with our two girls until April of 2012 when we moved back to Florida - and we now long for the days when we get to go and visit Manuel Antonio ourselves. We hope you love Costa Rica as much as we do!
Heather Burt purchased this House in 2004

Beautiful home & great location, 5min drive to beach
Home is beautiful, clean and wrap around porch is amazing. Spent tremendous amount of time on back porch. View is stunning. Kitchen well stocked, extra towels for beach. Lots of wildlife, 2red macaws in tree next to house, loads of monkeys & iguanas. Great restaurants within walking distance & markets. Very hilly so bring comfy shoes. The maid service was outstanding. Chris was responsive and accommodating. Only con - walk from house to car/street is fairly steep & long. If you have any walking difficulties this isn't for you. My family was fine & we are fairly active. I appreciated the little leg workout after all the great food I ate. Overall I would stay here again
We couldn't ask for more
This property had absolutely everything in a tropical vacation experience, and more! Chris was an amazing concierge, very responsive, who arranged excellent activities for us and answered all our questions in minutes. Marielas cooked an excellent breakfast and, while we tried to pick up after ourselves, left the house sparkling and laundry clean and folded. The house itself is even more beautiful than in pictures. We had iguana friends, scarlet macaws, monkeys, and more around every day. It was hard to leave, and we hope to come back someday!
Fantastic property with amazing views!! Perfect for our 2 familes.
This property was recommended by a friend who had stayed there last year. We were not disappointed. We had 4 adults and 4 teenage sons and it got 5 stars from all of us. The bedrooms are spacious and the loft allows for another sleeping area. The kitchen is huge and well appointed. Three indoor showers and four bathrooms were a huge plus. However, it is the outdoor spaces and location that set this property apart from the others.
The house is located just off of the main road in Manuel Antonio with great access to a small supermarket and plenty of shops and restaurants. The bus stop is close by for trips to the National Park, main beach or down into Quepos. We chose not to rent a car and never felt like we needed one. Even with its great access the house felt completely private and removed from the hustle and bustle of MA.
Walking down the steps to the house you realize what a special property this is. You can see jungle and ocean in the back ground. The covered deck is huge and the infinity pool hangs off the side of the hill suspending you above the forest floor. There is a convenient outdoor bathroom and shower and plenty of patio furniture for everyone. The views from the deck and pool are simply spectacular and the sunsets are worth the trip alone. We made it a rule to start and finish every day on this deck.
An added surprise was the amount of wildlife that visited this property every day we were there. Squirrel and Capuchin monkeys would parade across the deck each morning. Iguanas, including one nearly 4 feet in length, spent time in the yard. The trees surrounding the house provided great perches for scarlet macaws, toucans, green parrots and numerous others. There were also two sloths that we saw each time we walked down to Biesantz Beach.
We trusted Chris, this property's concierge, to organize our activities and he did not disappoint. He arranged the shuttles to and from San Jose airport, a deep-sea charter, National Park tour, pool-side massages, waterfall tour and a personal chef that we used twice. His choices were excellent and we all felt well taken care of. He even managed to get our fridge stocked with snacks, beers and cocktails that first day so that we would not miss our initial sunset.
This house was perfect for our group.
Breath taking views and sunsets. Amazing wildlife!
We had a blast! Group of 4 adults and 5 kids (2 families) stayed for a week. From day 1, we were treated with magnificent sunsets and wildlife entertainment. George (the large reptile that kept coming to say high) was a constant fixture on the pool deck. Birds, Monkeys, reptiles were seen every day around the yard.
The house was perfect for our group. We toured most mornings and retreated to the property in the early afternoon to enjoy the pool. Conveniently located, we could walk to the grocery stores and restaurants. Everything was nearby. Walking to the beach was a 20 minute trek, but mostly downhill. We took a cab back to the house.
Everything you need in the house is there. A few items in the kitchen could be replaced (kitchen knives, can opener - very minor), but everything needed was there. The maid service was great. When we returned from our activities, the house and kitchen were clean, beds made, laundry neatly folded on our beds.
Definitely a place I would return to! Loved it!
Great, spacious property.
Perfect for kinds and adults.
We could not have found a better home to use for our family of 11 vacation. The pool was a life saver with the kids, there was plenty of room for everyone, the beds were comfortable, housekeeping was great. We had the housekeepers prepare a meal for us one evening and it was delicious. It is a 3 hr. drive from San Jose, so using the company Josue scheduled with was great. Our excursions Josue scheduled were all good. They are expensive, usually $70/person, that included lunch and transportation.. Surfing lessons with Blue Horizon was one on one, which was great with the kids so the parents didn't worry and could enjoy their lessons. We also had Josue give us a tour of the Manuel Antonio park, he was also good with the young children. Be sure and take clothes for the beach after the park tour. We picked up our groceries in Quepos as we came to the house, our driver Enrique was very helpful. The kitchen is well stocked and there are various spices people leave. There are steep stairs to go down to the house so it is not handicap accessible. We didn't have any problems. Also, Heather was quick to respond to emails and Josue always answered my phone calls.
