These beautiful cabins are perfect for a large family or several families!
About Stacy Hughes
Stacy, the Property Manager, has been helping rental families create amazing family vacations here for the past several years. The owners have many wonderful memories from having spent many happy years here at these two cabins... with their extended family, including 5 children and 2 grandparents. They are happy to share this beautiful spot with other families, so that they too are able to make memories that will last them forever!
Stacy Hughes purchased this Lodge in 2005
Why Stacy Hughes chose Hayward
The owners have always loved this area and really savored the fact that they have a beautiful view across the lake, that is totally natural, with no other cabins to be seen!
What makes this Lodge unique
Being located on the Chippewa Flowage, the cabins both enjoy a beautiful lake view, with no other cabins in sight! Fishing is incredible there, and there is even a Fish Cleaning house, for all the fish you WILL catch! Enjoy the beautiful sunrises from the front deck, and later in the day, take a boat to Chief Lake Lodge, Pat's Landing, or Schultz's bar/restaurant!

Beautiful Home for a Peaceful Lake Getaway
What a lovely cabin home rental this was! We have vacationed around the country in rental homes, and this one stood apart with its special, welcoming feel. The cabin is gorgeous inside, with unique planked ceilings and high-end touches such as beautiful sconces. It feels cozy but not overstated. Furniture is all substantial and comfortable. The porch is fantastic for a cup of coffee and book while taking in the lake view. Loved the fishing house and the fire pit as well. The owner provided many nice touches like a welcome basket, plenty of beach towels, etc. We also loved the clawfoot tubs! This mom also appreciate the use of TWO washer and dryer units and will be returning home today with almost all clean laundry!
The Chippewa Flowage is unique in that it is extremely peaceful and quiet with only 15% of the shoreline developed. We must have seen 20+ bald eagles throughout our stay and most days, only saw a handful of boats around. We spent a lot of time swimming in the clear water. It is a big enough lake to pull towables without interfering too much with others’ peace and quiet, and we also enjoyed boating to several smaller bar and grills.
Overall, what a comfortable and lovely stay for our family of six plus a visiting grandpa! My only word of caution would be that the elevation is substantial, so anyone with trouble on stairs would really not be able to safely get down to and enjoy the water, which might be an important caveat for some travelers.
Thanks for the wonderful week!
Truly enjoyed our stay. Stacy was easy to work with and very friendly! Kitchen was very well appointed. The whole family had oodles of fun, kayaking, fishing, cooking and boy did we play games at the huge round dining table. Thanks for the memories!
Really fun weekend
Awesome fishing right off the dock and nearby. Boat launch only a few miles away.
We are happy you and your group had a fun weekend at Dream Catcher Lodge, Graham. Congratulations on the fishing....hope you were able to sample some of those fish while you were here!
Just about perfect...
Let me start off by saying that the property manager is amazing! I was trying to plan a family vacation for 17 people and that can get “tricky” and stressful. She answered all questions, even if stupid questions, in the snap of a finger.
The so-called cabins were beautiful and clean. They are homes, not cabins.😉It was set up perfectly for family card games and doing puzzles with grandma. Grandpa even had his reclining chair!
The location was perfect. The boat landing is close by and so is town for any necessities needed. There were very few negatives at all. If I need to provide a few negatives, I guess I would have to say that my elderly parents did have some difficulty with all the stairs (expected) and that phone service was sketchy. (I didn’t mind being unplugged for a couple days).
Finally, I should just mention that although the water was a bit too cold yet for tubing etc , I’m not sure my boys would've tubed anyway. There are floating logs and we also saw a very large snake in the lake. Most of the lake is “uninhabited” and very natural so you need to be aware of your surroundings. We had a great long weekend and highly recommend this VRBO rental.
Another great stay!
We loved our time at the cabin(s) once again. This was our second time. It’s a great option for our large family. Both cabins are beautiful and very well stocked with everything you need. Stacy is awesome to work with! We will be back!
Thank you for your kind words, Stacey. :-) We were so happy you and your wonderful family returned to Dream Catcher Lodge and the Eagle's Nest. We will look forward to welcoming you back again!
We were somewhat on a ‘scouting’ mission, checking out potential future full family lakeside cabin options in Hayward area. We will look no further. Great house, well furnished, and great view of the lake. Also, Stacey is an excellent, responsive manager.
We are so pleased your 'scouting" mission ends with us! :-) We will be happy to welcome you back any time.
Our Concierge Company can arrange for the following pampering services while you are staying at Dreamcatcher Lodge and Eagles' Nest: In-cabin Chef Services, and In-cabin Massage Services... imagine the best restaurant in the area being right there in your cabin! The Chef's food is amazing and you don't have to drive anywhere! :-) And after a busy day, a massage sure feels good!
Also, the town of Hayward is only 15 miles away, with more restaurants, great shopping, and many attractions. These include: the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, the Wilderness Walk (including a petting zoo), Lumberjack Shows, the Park Center (live music concerts and events), mini-golf, etc!
