Love this property, very relaxing and the hosts were fantastic.
Jacki & Tony were lovely and made us feel very welcome
Wonderful quiet getaway
Yarra Valley Pool House was a lovely place to getaway from the footy madness in Melbourne. Only an hour from home and 8-10 mins easy drive to Healesville, it provided lovely accommodation overlooking a lemon orchard on one side and a pool on the other. In summer it would be a wonderful place to hang around and have a swim. The bed was big and comfortable and the kitchen/living area was well resourced. Even though it is located next to the owner Tony's house it felt very private. Tony provided a delicious loaf of bread and a cake (we need the recipe) and was helpful when information about local eateries and walks was requested. The Wombat Winery tour is also a must!
We had a lovely stay at Lavender Farm recently. The studio was perfectly accesorised with absolutely everything you might need for a short stay. The breakfast provided included a delicious homemade loaf as well as fresh bread, condiments and good plunger coffee.
Although close to the owners, we still felt we had great privacy and it was really nice to be amongst the lemon trees.
The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out on the back porch in the arvo sun sharing some local produce and wine.
The owners gave some good recommendations on estates to visit and were interested to hear of our experiences when we left. Ask them about Jen, the local taxi driver. She's essential for getting out at night if you want to have a few drinks. We booked her both nights and got great service too and from Lavender Farm for around $17 into town.
Thanks so much for a great stay!
Loved it! Clean and nice and Tony is amazing
If anyone is going Yarra Valley- I would definitely recommend this place to stay! Close to the sanctuary and the Innocent Bystander! House is really nice with the lemon garden in the backyard! I believe it's even more perfect in the summer!
