Family and Pet Friendly Home away from Home Central Quiet Home all for you!
About Tom Broekmeulen
My name is Tom and I'm Dutch - while now also having the Australian Passport. I've come to Perth in 2011 for a girl and while that didn't last, I'm still here. It took me a few years to work my way into the property market and managed to buy this little cottage that's fairly central. As it's a bit to expensive for me to live in by myself, I've started to rent it out through Airbnb and Stayz awaiting times that I can rent it out for enough money long term to hold on to the house. I work a lot but I'm flexible so if you need anything I'll do my best to help you out.
Tom Broekmeulen purchased this House in 2016
Why Tom Broekmeulen chose Perth
The central location and the fact that it's a free standing house with a bit of a yard was very appealing to me. The house has a super basic layout but it's bones are good and will be good for a long time. It just has a lot of character!
What makes this House unique
The street is super quiet; you won't hear a peep at night. The back yard gives you sun from morning to evening. There are restaurants and breakfast places and bars at a short walk and even getting to the CBD; with a $6 Uber ride you get practically anywhere. Because it's so central, Ubers are rarely more than 3 minutes away. There are heaps of nice apartments around the city of course, but staying in this house will give you a totally different - more home-away-from-home feeling. I hope you'll like it as much as I do.

This property is one street back from Northbridge main cafe/shopping and a 20min walk from the RAC concert ctr. It is a partly modernised 2 bedroom Federation house. It doesn't have reverse cycle aircon and relies on very old oil and electric blow heaters which if more than one is on, trips the mains electrical system. There is a great fire place in the lounge but no wood or kindling or axe. (there is a Servo around the corner that you can buy wood and matches-and is well worth the effort) It is a very cold house so might be great in Summer. Entry was a bit of a bother as there was no instructions sent and main key was locked inside and the electrics had been tripped so no electrics/WiFi, so we had to bother the owner (who was great). Parking is great.
Great for Perth and for our dogs
Very convenient for central Perth and allowed us to have our dogs with us. Hyde Park nearby was a bonus.
My mum and brother came over from the Netherlands and visited me here in Perth. They stayed in Tom's house twice, with a break to travel up north.
The house was really conveniently located, close to the shops on William Street and an easy walk to the CBD/city centre. Tom was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
Booking was cancelled
After the booking was made and payment went through and we received confirmation, we received a message saying they also had the property on another booking site and someone had booked and their payment went through before ours. I have also not received the total amount back I was charged, I have messaged the property contact but have not heard back.
We had a lovely time staying at Tom's place. The location is great. Close walking distance to everything you need. Beds are very comfortable.
Thank you Tom.
A nice little place to stay and very well located. Tom is a welcoming and friendly host.
