A hidden gem located behind a 2 story building at the back of the property ! All the benefits of being in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood but without the commotion. It's small but perfect for 1 or 2 people (maximum) to live for a month or 6 very comfortably. The queen bed is comfortable and super quiet for sleeping any time of the day or night. The living room has seating for 4 as does the dining table/desk. The kitchen is fully-equipped and ready to prepare a gourmet meal after shopping at the Thursday Farmers Market 2 blocks away. A coin-op washer and dryer are located in the shared courtyard for residents use.
Pets are accepted with a $250/per pet additional deposit.
Check in is easy and all details will be emailed to you days in advance. We offer electronic entry locks for your convenience and safety! We have a maintenance crew available 24 hours a day for any issues you may have.
North Park is a vibrant neighborhood with award-winning restaurants and bars, cool local art and vintage clothing stores and 30th St is the hub of the burgeoning San Diego restaurant and craft beer scene! Only minutes from Hillcrest, South Park, Normal Heights, Balboa Park, SD Zoo and Downtown. Walk to restaurants, galleries, boutiques, grocery stores, a farmers market, brew pubs, bars, banks, and more!
Located near bus lines & freeways but is very walkable! Lyft and uber are a great way to avoid getting in your car but you won't need to leave the neighborhood for much. There is a DecoBike rental across the street!
Other Things to Note
Gas grill, boogie boards, and bikes are available for use during your stay.
PLEASE NOTE - We do not accept reservations of less than 1 month more than 30 days in advance - unless it fills a gap in our calendar.

My husband and I stayed with our dogs in the cottage and couldn't have been happier. This small cottage has a big feel and has every detail you could think of from the kitchen to even a hair dryer that I ended up needing. It is even more quaint that the pictures already show. It's also private - no one above you and you're in the back of the courtyard. Great walking distance to restaurants, grocery and parks. We even had a great view of the fireworks from the park off Pershing.
~This cottage is a perfect hideaway for anyone wanting a home hidden away in the best part of North Park. The place has beautiful light, lovely decor, and a verdant courtyard you get to walk through every day. Walking distance to everything including fantastic cafes and restaurants, a few parks, and some great places to explore (including an arcade bar, an art gallery, a pretzel and beer bar, and a beginner's salsa dance class!) We really enjoyed the warm neighborhood ambience while also being close to scrumptious brunches and other urban enjoyments. And bonus, the hostess and our neighbors were all super nice!

We are residents of Central San Diego and love the vibrancy and quaintness of the neighborhoods. We are foodies, love art and music and are always willing to share our recommendations.
Janella purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Janella chose North Park
It is one of the most gorgeous properties in North Park, one of the fastest changing neighborhoods in San Diego. Turn of the century but well maintained with modern conveniences.

Convenient and comfortable.
The cottage is very comfortable for two people and thoughtfully equipped. The location is very good; within walking distance of lots of eateries, shops, public transportation, etc.
Great location-good access to all parts of San Diego and surrounding areas.
We had a great week. Love North and South Park. The Landis Cottage was perfect-quiet, clean, had all the little extras needed. Would definitely stay there again.
Very cute, clean and near everything. Great neighbors!
I especially liked that the kitchen was fully stocked: a blender, toaster, measuring cup and spoons, a clean and working oven.
So happy you enjoyed your stay Gail!
Amazing location and friendly shared garden
The flat is pretty and well decorated and furnished, the bed is comfy. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of cooking equipment, sharp knives etc. The location is really amazing, in the heat of North Park and steps away from great shops and restaurants and yet on a peaceful road. The courtyard/ garden is shared and everyone is extremely friendly. Check in was very smooth and straightforward.
Only negatives are that the space is quite small and it is a little expensive.
We enjoyed our stay, thanks!
quiet, comfortable, convenient location in bustling neighbourhood
I relocated to San Diego from the UK and stayed at the cottage for ~ 6 weeks, using it as a furnished base to find longer-term accommodation. The space is compact but was ideal for my needs, having a distinct bedroom, living room and kitchen and all you need to be comfortable. Staying in cooler months (Dec-Feb), I also appreciated the wall heater which quickly warmed the living room; having laundry facilities right across the yard was also helpful. The cottage felt secure and secluded in spite of being just a few blocks from major roads and I was always able to park on the block, but off a main street. The neighbourhood is easy and safe to walk around, packed with great places to eat and shop and for those staying longer, you can take your pick of grocery stores including a newly opened Barons Market plus the North Park farmer's market is just a block away every Thursday afternoon/evening. The owner was very prompt responding to initial enquiries and I didn't have need to contact her throughout the stay, 'cos everything was in good working order and exactly as described.
Walkable to Balboa Park, restaurants, shops, SD Zoo, Farmers Market, grocery stores, banks, buses, bike rental and more!
