About Dale Stacey
Hi there, Sue and I have both lived and holidayed in many beautiful areas throughout Victoria. Queenscliff is one of our favourites so we bought then renovated Bethune House, late in 2016. We love camping, fishing, the beach and love to explore new places. We hope you enjoy exploring Queenscliff and the Bellarine Peninsula. Dale and Sue
Why Dale Stacey chose Queenscliff
We bought Bethune House because we loved the house, the area and Queenscliff's village atmosphere . Queenscliff is within easy travelling distance from Melbourne and Geelong and has so much to offer both holiday makers and residents of this small community.
What makes this Townhome unique
When we first saw Bethune House we recognised its potential . We new it could be a comfortable, spacious, well positioned holiday house for us , our families and others. All it took was a bit of blood, sweat and tears not to mention a broken arm and a lot of hard work and Bethune House- Seaside Escape came to be.

Great Beachside Accommodation
Bethune House was very clean, spacious and well equipped (especially for children). A family group of 6 adults and 2 children were easily and comfortably accommodated. It's close to a lovely beach and the centre of town. Dale was very responsive to messages and made us feel welcome. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
Fabulous location & well equipped house
Location was awesome - walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes, walk into town in about 15 minutes, less than 5 minutes to bike path.
The house is lovely, clean and it is very well equipped - huge selection of DVDs (kids & adults), beach gear (in garage), games, ALDI espresso machine, pantry basics.
Two drawbacks - the main one is that the only A/C upstairs is in the main bedroom which is a problem if it's hot, particularly if you have 4 people in the room with a double bed & bunks. The second, more minor, drawback is that the kitchen appliances (cooktop, oven, DW) were not updated with the rest of the decor and they are very old.
Good holiday location
Very clean and comfortable house and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of DVDs to choose from. It was close to the beach and a short drive from the town centre. Sue and Dale were quick to respond to any questions and gave us lots of recommendations for eating out. The only slight downside is the proximity to main road and the sound of traffic. We had a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to families looking for a comfy stay by the beach and close to all the amenities in Queenscliff.
Thanks Tasmin, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Really appreciate how clean and tidy you left the house. We hope we see you again one day.

Great place to unwind
A lovely, comfortable house with a cosy feel. So close to the beach...just a couple of minutes walk. Also easy to walk to the shops. Loved the games, DVDs etc to keep us entertained. Dale and Sue were very easy to communicate with. We plan to return!
Neat, clean and comfortable
Great house, cosy, but a bit noisy on the main road and not easy getting out of driveways. Other than that, we all enjoyed our weekend in Queenscliff and weather was kind to us.
We are pleased you enjoyed your weekend. With the weather being so pleasant for the long weekend Queensclff certainly was a busy hive of activity.

Excellent Property in Great Location
We stayed at Bethune House on 2nd Feb - 4th Feb 2018, as we went up for the Queenscliff Rod Run.
We loved everything about this townhouse, couldn’t fault a thing. Loved that there are 3 bedrooms (with very comfy beds and great pillows too) and 2 bathrooms upstairs and also a powder room downstairs, as well as a garage around the side of the house and 2 driveways, so there is room for 3 cars, which is great if you are sharing the house with 1 or 2 other couples.
It sleeps 8 people, so it’s great for 6 adults and 2 children. It is in a great spot, only about a 10-15 minute walk to the Main Street of Queenscliff, where you will find all the lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s also a very short walk to the beach.
The house was spotless and beautifully presented. We would definitely recommend this townhouse and would love to stay again!
