New stainless/granite kitchen, refinished pool deck, new pool equipment (salt water) and other projects now complete.
This house is in an ideal location. Some of the most popular restaurants on the island are only a brief walk away! There are plenty of shops also within walking distance or a short bike ride. The Esplanade offers fine dining with stunning marina views, ice cream, gourmet coffee & great shopping - all reachable without driving. Due to its location, the home provides that continuous "vacation feel" compared to homes located in neighborhoods further away from the prime attractions and beaches.
This home (built in 2004) is new to the rental market and is crystal clean, spotless / like new (and we keep it that way). All of the furniture is new in 2016. The home offers 3 spacious bedrooms - one king, one queen and one with (2) twin beds. All beds are new with brand new hotel quality mattresses. There are (2) flat screen televisions with cable and wifi. There is a wireless 2 zone (outside and inside) Sonos sound system available for your use which allows you to play music or anything else through your personal device. The pool area is very private, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The pool heater & pump are new (2016) and whisper quiet (variable speed). And - there is a half bath located right in the pool area!
The house is waterfront at the end of a canal offering a long canal view of beautiful waterfront homes and boats along both sides. Wildlife around the island, house and canal is abundant. We have seen all types of birds, pelicans, dolphins, fish and even a sea horse this year right at the dock. The dolphin photo was also taken from the dock! The lot is an over sized corner lot with plenty of room, landscaped with palm trees and colorful native plantings. There is even an orange tree and a lemon tree!
There are multiple gorgeous white sandy beaches on the Island (facing West for great sunsets) to spend the day, some with jet ski / paddle boat rentals and parasailing available right on the beach. Marco is known for shelling - you can spend hours pouring through the piles of shells along the beach. Tigertail Beach has a cafe, restrooms & showers, boardwalks through the mangroves, a large children's playground and a small boat and cabana rental stand.
Boat rentals can be arranged through Rose Marco River Marina. Enjoy cruising around the 'Ten Thousand Islands' or up to Naples for lunch at The Dock. There are plenty of gorgeous beaches only accessible by boat (like Keewaydin) where the shelling may be a little more fruitful and less picked over. Of course the fishing around Marco is fabulous. Unfortunately, the water is not deep enough near the house to tie up on either side of the lift. So if you are renting, plan on daily excursions out of the marina.
Golf is available at the world - class, Lely Flamingo and Mustang championship courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Lee Trevino. The new clubhouse has a full restaurant and bar facilities and a great golf pro shop. Club and shoe hire, tuition, and a full golf driving range are also available. There are many other golf courses within an easy drive and tennis is also close by.
