Property description

Holiday getaway or pied a terre for working visits to London. Suits single, couples or couple plus 1 (including childe). The flat (35msq) is a 2008 addition to the house below and incorporates modern appliances for self contained living including:- fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, gas stove and oven); bathroom (wet room with shower); desk area (full internet access); living/dining area (dining table and chairs); outside deck for sunset dining (3.6m x 2.5m). The sleeping area is set into the rear of the studio and offers some separation from the living/kitchen area which has a comfy double sofa bed. The studio is very bright and has views of both the sun rise and the sunsets. London can be dull and grey but only rarely in this flat. Access is via an external spiral staircase from a courtyard garden. The flat is 13 minutes* stroll from Finsbury Park tube (*source Transport for London website). 15 minutes by tube to central London/the City (Victoria Line or Finsbury Park/Crouch Hill rail)

Access to the Property: Access to the flat is via an entrance from the street into a courtyard garden shared with the flat below. Access to the top floor apartment is via an external spiral staircase for the renter's exclusive use. The spiral staircase takes you to a lovely terrace and entry to the flat is through an entrance door off the terrace

The nightlife attractions of Shoreditch, the East End and the West End are easily reached by public transport or taxi (approx. £20 by black cab). Most Central London attractions and transport links (museums, theatres, landmarks) are well connected via bus lines and the Picadilly and Victoria tube lines.

Standard rental rates range from £75-£100 night night depending on number of persons, duration and dates (time of year/week). Maximum number of persons is 3 persons (x3 adults or x2 adults and 1 child). We can occasionally allow 2 couples if your enquiry fills a gap in bookings. Please make your enquiry with your requirements re numbers; duration and dates and the landlord will give you a quote for the period you are interested in. A breakages deposit of around £100 is required to cover any breakages and non-standard cleaning. The deposit is deducted only if the flat will require cleaning over and above the standard 2-3 hour cleaning we normally carry out. The flat should be left substantially as provided at the start of the tenancy i.e. dishes/kitchen cleaned, floor swept, tenant belongings removed and rubbish bagged for removal.

The owner will set out rental terms in the email response. However, in summary, a non-refundable deposit (normally 1/2 the total) is paid to book the property (via paypal) and the balance paid on arrival.

The property was originally a bakery and then a sweet shop until conversion into residential property shortly after the war (as far as we can work out). The holiday flat is an extension having been built in 2008 on top of the existing flat roof house.
