This apartment has lovely water views and is ideally located in Rockland's South End, directly across the street from Snow Marine Park. It is a short 10 minute walk to downtown Rockland. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, master bedroom with king size bed, and bathroom with large stall shower and washer/dryer on the first floor. The second bedroom is upstairs and has a queen size bed and full private bathroom. Both bedrooms have new mattresses, quality linens and views of the water.. The porch is completely screened in and is a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee or tea or evening drinks. There is outside seating for 4 under an umbrella table. A small gas grill is available if you want to cook outside. There is room on the property to park your boat and boat trailer. The apartment is in a historic 1855 duplex. The property abuts railroad track in the back yard that is used exclusively by the 6 freight car Dragon Cement Company train when there is a boat in the harbor to take on cement. The schedule varies however the train does not run early in the morning or after sundown. The owners live onsite and look forward to assisting you in any way that we can to make your vacation as memorable as possible.

About Lisa Ignaszak

We are a retired couple, Dan from social work and Lisa from IT. We moved to Rockland from southern Maine in 2014 with the intent to downsize. Instead we bought this beautiful historic 4 unit duplex and have been working off and on restoring this apartment with the intent to open it up for vacationers. We love to travel and know what it is like to find a home away from home, someplace so welcoming that you are instantly comfortable and ready to go off and explore without any worries. We sincerely hope that you feel that way when you walk in the door of this apartment. We are here to serve you!

Exceeded our expectations

This apartment was just right for us (two couples). With two full baths adjacent to each of the two bedrooms we each had our own space (with very comfortable beds), and still had the living room and kitchen area to socialize. We appreciated the many extra touches, such as spices in the kitchen cupboards, and even coffee and cookies to welcome us. Comfortable, yet cosy and convenient. Lisa and Dan were great hosts. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay!

The house was just as described. Nice view of the water and centrally located. It was easy to get to in Rockland and I really liked staying there as opposed to Camden because it is not as crowded. Owners were very nice and laid out everything for us. Only caution would be for older people or someone who is disabled as the house is older and the doorways have raised boards that can be a hazard. Lovely king size bed and all the amenities. Lisa's molasses cookies were awesome!

Perfect place to enjoy mid-coast area

We loved our stay! Lisa recommend Archers for dinner and it was a short 5 min walk. The apartment was the perfect place for 2 couples or a family. Everything you might need Lisa provided. Highly recommend this charming waterview apartment.

Perfectly perfect

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Great location - can enjoy a short walk to town. Beautiful home in Rockland. Lisa was a gracious host. She brought over homemade muffins that were delicious! Zucchini and garlic from her garden. The kitchen is well stocked with all necessities even for lobster fans! The beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms are quite spacious. The only problem we had - we should have planned a longer stay. As we are driving home we are already planning on a return trip! You can't go wrong with this home. PS - no problem with the "train". It's going so slow and very quiet. We enjoyed watching it and counting the cars - only 6!

Convenient and Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners, Lisa and Dan, were pleasant and helpful in every way. We were close to everything-Rockland, Rockport, Camden and more! Our apt. was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked.

Modern amenities with old-fashioned charm in the perfect location.

This beautiful home across the street from the harbor is a destination unto itself. We had every comfort of home, and the location was convenient to all the attractions that mid-coast Maine has to offer. We highly recommend this property!

We do not accept credit cards, however the HomeAway/VRBO service fee is paid by the guest (by credit card or other electronic method) at the time that the reservation is accepted. The refundable damage protection deposit is to be paid by cash or check in the second payment and will be refunded within 2 days of departure if there has been no damage to the property.

If we do not have guests scheduled immediately before your arrival or after your departure we can be more flexible about allowing you to check-in early or check-out a bit later, please ask us in advance.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
