It is one of only 2 Ocotillo bungalows that is uniquely graced with a fireplace to create a romantic and cozy mood to enjoy during those cool desert evenings. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors makes the unit bright and cheery. There are room darkening shades on all those doors.
This modern bungalow features iconic post and beam construction, tongue and groove ceilings, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors with roller room darkening shades, polished concrete floors that flow outside to the private patio. Other amenities include the sparkling and fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, dining area, HDTV in the Living Room and Bedroom, wifi / high speed internet, modern fixtures and furnishings including a sleeper sofa in the living room.
The bedroom is complete with a king size bed, ample closet and storage for long stays and is connected to the spa like master bath with double sinks, tub and shower. The large private patio features fruit bearing citrus trees (Lemon and Orange), a BBQ grill, with a view of the southern hills.
The famous and enormous champagne cork shaped swimming pool is the envy of Palm Springs . . . no other like it. You can work out in the fitness room overlooking the pool. Just off the pool are 2 in-ground jacuzzi tubs and a cabana with bar & grilling facilities.
Some quick history; This iconic Palm Springs lodge was once a favorite get away for the Hollywood elite. Part of the desirable Twin Palms Neighborhood, Ocotillo Lodge was designed by Mid Century Modern Architects, Dan Palmer and William Krisel and built by the famous Alexander Construction Company in 1957.
