About Tony and Sally
We are Tony and Sally are originally from the UK and have traveled all over the world, Keen sailors the beauty of Port Stephens was a big attraction. For Sally many years spent travelling and working in hospitality as well as Tony's engineering background means the house is very well appointed and maintained, our choice of decorations in the house are what we choose for ourselves and feel that we want our guests to be at home from the moment they arrive. This is our second home and we love spending as much time as possible here. We travel regularly from Sydney to work from home and sit on the beach enjoying the peace and serenity at North Arm Cove.
Tony and Sally purchased this House in 2017
Why Tony and Sally chose North Arm Cove
We wanted a weekend home close to Sydney so we could escape as quickly as possible. The fact that the house is only 6 minutes from the freeway with no weekend traffic or traffic trauma means we can be on the beach within 2 hours of leaving Sydney. With a growing family we wanted a place that will be fun for our children and grandchildren as they grow,
What makes this House unique
The view from the living room as you walk in the house truly is spectacular, definitely a big wow. Listening to the waves washing up on our own private sandy beach and the wind in the trees is so peaceful. we just love being here and we hope you do too.

Long Weekend at North Arm Cove
The property is in a lovely quiet area with it’s own little sandy beach. The kayak & fire pit were a great hit with the children & we were lucky enough to have wonderful warm weather. The house itself comfortably fits up to 10 people with lots of basic food items supplied & a well equipped kitchen plus lots of games for the children in case of a rainy day.
Thankyou for looking after our home, we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. reg Sally and Tony
Sally and Tony are excellent hosts. They respond to all questions quickly and are happy to provide whatever information is required. The property is in a fabulous location with lovely views and the water-front access is fantastic, especially if you are into kayaking or boating. The small village is quiet, enhancing the sense of being 'away from it all'. The weather wasn't the greatest during our stay but the home was a comfortable haven when needed. It is spacious and well appointed with everything needed for either a short or long stay. If you are lucky with the weather, 'Waterfront Jewel' aptly describes this property.
One of the best places to stay at on the North Coast
My husband and I stayed there for 6 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
The house and location are just right for those who want some peace and quiet, but not too far from the shops and beaches. Our German Shepherd loved the backyard although we had to keep her on a leash. We spent half of the time at the house because it was so relaxing and peaceful there. The water view from the backyard is beautiful and we also did some kayaking there. The owners Tony and Sally were helpful and prompt with their replies to all of our queries.
It was a pleasure to host your family, im glad we could be part of making your celebration so special and your dog is just so beautiful she is always welcome. Regards Sally
This is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway
The house has fantastic views and easy access to the water. Facilitate are good and there are a lot of games and books for those rainy days. Highlight for us was kayaking in the bay with a pod of dolphins swimming around us
Quiet location on the water
This spacious and clean house is located on the waterfront in a very quite backwater. My little dog was made to feel welcome and the property included a secure area for him to run about in. I found many enjoyable bush walks near the water and through forests, all of which were reached directly from the house. Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest were nearby. I visited these places each day for shopping and beach walks. Sandflies and mosquitoes were in abundance in North Arm Cove and meant I couldn't sit outside. Strong insect repellant is strongly recommended.
Homely and comfortable, well equipped. Gorgeous outlook. Could do with updating, though.
We appreciated our hosts being flexible, and permitting our large family and pets, to stay at their perfectly adequate home. We were fortunate to have two lovely sunny days out of the four, and took advantage of the wonderful situation and well equipped and comfortable facilities.
Certain aspects could certainly be improved, though, including makeshift steps, rough access to the waterfront, and the rather tired kitchen and bathrooms.
But overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Unfortunately, most of us suffered from the sandfly bites we unwittingly bore, for days afterwards..
Perhaps a warning about them, and also the nasty mosquitoes, would be wise.
Thankyou for your comments,we are so glad you had a great stay. we agree the kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated and we are intending to uodate those over the the next 12 months, we are constantly upgrading and improving the property. the step you mentioned we discouvered was actually added by a previous guest and had not been noticed by our housekeeper as it is not a regualr exit point., The steps down through the bush is not a pathway but a space in the garden where guests have continually trodden down the garden and we are considering making this a formal step. The house manual does mention the mosquitoes can be annoying and recomends to bring bug spray, howevevr we do provide household spray under the kitchen sink if they are too bothersome. thankyou for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back.
