Hello and thank you for stopping by.
Traveling for business? Perhaps you're attending a business meeting, trade show, or some other Long Beach event, and you're looking for an alternative to the hotel room. I invite you, your colleagues, and business associates to book a luxurious condo prepared for you by a fellow business traveler (me).
Traveling for pleasure? How about staying at a modern condo with a bit of whimsy? Groups, couples, and families are all welcome to stay at my condo. If you're looking for a highly customized space, I invite you to consider booking my place. My goal is to have you enjoy staying in my condo as much as I do.
As one of my guests wrote in his review,
"We stayed here for a convention and it was quite enjoyable. Having a kitchen allowed us to have breakfast in the condo. We were only a quick Uber ride away from the convention center. The place was nicely furnished, very comfortable and saved us a lot of money. Thumbs up."

My condo is a newly remodeled, bright and airy, industrial modern space located in beautiful Alamitos Beach just two short blocks from the water and a perfect distance from Downtown Long Beach. If you don't want to be right smack in the middle of Downtown, yet close enough to be able to walk or bike there, I invite you to book my condo. You'll get to experience staying in an authentic beachside Long Beach neighborhood, accentuated by beautiful drought-tolerant landscaping. My condo is a private home, but without all the clutter typical of private homes. I will not be staying in the condo during your visit.
The condo is a spacious 1200+ sq ft of living space with 2 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. From the wood wall in the master bedroom and dining area that used to be the flooring; the woodwork over the entryway, hallway, and kitchen and the pedestal vanity in the hallway bathroom that was constructed from leftover wood; the curtains made of outdoor fabric and hung using a grommet/carabiner and continuous track system; to the light fixtures I designed and assembled -- all of which I personally customized specifically for the space -- together give the condo its very practical, exclusive, yet unassuming, character.
The entire condo has wall to wall concrete flooring -- hardwood flooring is so 2014! :-) The master bedroom includes a California King size bed and the 2nd bedroom includes a Queen size bed and a desk with a full size USB keyboard and mouse. The master bedroom comes with a large walk-in closet that includes an iron, ironing board, and clothes hamper. The master bathroom includes a modern shower stall with frameless barn door style shower doors and an automatic toilet. Two 42-inch flat screen TVs (one in the front room and one in the master bedroom) provide Spectrum Cable programming. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the condo. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range with oven, and microwave). A Keurig coffee maker and K-cups are provided. The kitchen has quartz countertop, a large stainless steel sink, and an automatic faucet. The condo also includes a wet bar, a wood burning gas fireplace, and full size washer and dryer available for your use during your stay (dry cleaning is only two blocks away on Broadway and Gaviota). Central heating is also available should you need it. Just outside of the front room area is a spacious balcony. Two subterranean parking spaces are available for your exclusive use during your stay. Note that the parking spaces will each accommodate up to a medium size vehicle but extra large SUV's and other large vehicles are not recommended. It is important to note that finding street parking in Alamitos Beach after 5pm is very difficult, if not impossible. If you will have a car(s) during your stay, it is highly recommended that you book a place with at least 1 assigned parking. Mine has 2! :-) No extra charge. I'm guessing the hotels downtown charge extra for parking for each day of your stay.
If you do decide to skip the rental car, various forms of transportation are readily available, including Uber/Lyft, taxi, self-service rental bikes, bus/metro rail - oh, and, of course walking. You can, for example, walk literally across the street on Broadway and enjoy traditional and not-so-traditional Italian food (ever had cashews on your pizza?) or walk down barely half a block east and enjoy your choice of Vegan or Thai food. Also across the street on Broadway is Leslie's, a small antique shop where you can pop in and buy a vintage bracelet or some unique collectible you can take home as a souvenir or as a gift for a loved one back home. These are neighborhood establishments and do not have a downtown 'touristy' feel. Walk to Bixby Park and depending on when you go, you can partake in a large group yoga by the beach or buy local produce at the twice-weekly outdoor farmer's market. Just past the park, on Ocean Blvd, is the Long Beach Museum with its outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach. You might want to have breakfast there during the weekend when they open earlier than on weekdays. Walk to 4th Street (aka 'Retro Row') where there's more vintage shops. You can also grab food, drinks, or coffee there if you wish. If you want to have larger variety of food, drinks, and shopping, I would recommend renting a bike and heading east to 2nd Street / Belmont Shore. Bikes are available for rent (self-service) just steps from the condo - on Broadway and Falcon. Uber/Lyft is also a good way to go there. Bikes are a great option for Shoreline Village (boat tours, restaurants with water views), Aquarium of the Pacific, The Pike (most comfortable movie theater seating - you will not be disappointed!), The Promenade (restaurants, microbreweries), Queen Mary, and the Cruise Ships. If heading to Shoreline Village or the Aquarium on a bike, I would recommend heading east (on 1st Street) towards Junipero, turn right onto Junipero and head down the hill to the beach where you'll turn a sharp right to get onto the bike path (an adjacent path (boardwalk) is available for walkers and joggers). Follow the boardwalk to Shoreline Village / Aquarium. If you're headed to the Convention Center, you may want to walk or employ a 4-wheel motorized vehicle so you don't risk messing up your clothing (though the Dutch ride bikes all over the place and manage to always look presentable).
If you want to see beautiful panoramic views of Downtown Long Beach while enjoying dinner or cocktails as boats pass by, I recommend heading over to Fuego restaurant at the Maya hotel. From there, you can take a relaxing stroll to the Queen Mary. Please check their website for entry fees and other details.
Disneyland, Huntington Beach (aka Surf City), Newport Beach, Venice Beach, and the many attractions the Los Angeles area has to offer are all easily accessible via car or public transportation. If your schedule allows, I would recommend a day trip to Catalina Island via the Catalina Express ferry from downtown Long Beach. You might get lucky and see dolphins following the boat on your way to and/or from Catalina. Make sure to plan ahead to ensure ticket availability.
Please note that I will be transacting with you as a condo owner and not as a tenant subletting their unit and who has to answer to a landlord. This property is a condo and not an apartment so you don't ever have to worry about being confronted by an apartment manager asking all kinds of questions and ruining your visit.
If you prefer convenience, spaciousness, technology, and peace of mind over cookie-cutter, cramped, or cluttered accommodations, and want to experience staying in an authentic beachside Long Beach neighborhood, I invite you to book my condo. I challenge you to find another area listing with a California King Size Bed, Automatic Toilet, Barndoor Style Modern Shower Doors, 2 Gated Parking Spaces (rare in Alamitos Beach!), Full Size In-Unit Washer & Dryer, and countless customizations. These are comforts I believe my guests truly deserve. Oh, and you'll also receive a small gift I designed specifically for my guests, as a small token of my appreciation for your booking.
Please check the Availability Calendar to see if the condo is available to book for your visit. Whether you're in town for business or for pleasure, I hope you'll consider staying at my condo. I would be delighted to be your host. You will not regret booking my condo. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I thank you in advance. Hope to see you soon!
