Nestled on the shore of Lake Wivenhoe, between Fernvale and Esk in the beautiful Brisbane Valley, this superbly appointed, architecturally designed country hideaway spans three levels of spacious open plan living. The home features a beautiful timber staircase over three levels which unfortunately is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or young children.
Carmic Retreat offers two entry levels, a master suite with king-sized bed and private balcony, two queen-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious lounge areas and reverse-cycle air conditioners on each of the three floors, a fully equipped kitchen and two formal dining areas. Laundry facilities are available in toe ground floor bathroom. A fireplace on the top floor ensures cosy winter evenings. Books and board games are available for your leisure.
Eco-friendly features include solar hot water and rainwater tanks for household use. There is excellent reception for your mobile phones and devices. Sorry, no telephone or internet access facilities are provided,
Spend time outdoors relaxing by the pool, contemplating the tranquil tropical gardens or tantalising your tastebuds using the outdoor kitchen and pizza oven. Wander around the 130 acres of bush and paddocks with your camera capturing stunning images of the abundant wildlife and cattle. Take a short stroll to the property's waterfront to cast your fishing line or yabby pot. Bring your own kayaks or paddleboards to explore Moombra Bay.
Carmic Retreat is also an ideal venue for small group workshops, seminars or weddings. A 65" flat screen TV on the top floor provides an excellent medium for presentations.
Carmic Retreat is accessed from Brisbane Valley Highway by 3 km of unsealed road. The road is graded for your safety, so 4WD is not required, but slow speeds and caution are necessary. Undercover parking is offered in a carport adjacent to the ground floor entry for two vehicles. Ample uncovered parking is avalable for extra vehicles.
There is no public transport to the property.
Attractions and activities throughout the Somerset Region include village markets, wineries, art galleries, airfields, skydiving, various water sports on Lake Wivenhoe or Lake Somerset and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail offering horse-riding, cycling and hiking opportunities.
