‘La vie en Rose’ is a charming apartment decorated with a rosy glow and a hint of nostalgia. It is perfect for romantic couples, groups of friends or families.
Heene Terrace is an iconic, listed terrace which looks across its private gardens directly onto the sea. It is situated in the Poet’s district of West Worthing.
The apartment is on the second floor and accessed by stairs or a recently renovated lift.
There is a large sitting room with high ceilings, a squishy feather sofa, sofa bed, TV cabinet, and full size dining table and chairs. It is furnished with chateau finds and original art.
Views from the living area and are nothing short of spectacular; the sea stretching to infinity, children playing on the foreshore or beach, ice cream vans, the quaint miniature train in summer, seagulls doing acrobatics.
The adjacent kitchen has a microwave, oven, fridge with icebox, small table top dishwasher and plenty of storage space. Please note that this is a self- catering apartment and although cleaning sundries, tea, coffee and sugar are provided, no meals are provided. There are great cafes and restaurants near by for everything from Breakfast to a slap up finest fish supper.
The master bedroom has a king-size antique semi-corbeille bed from a chateau in Provence with bespoke memory foam modern mattress and a fitted wardrobe. It shares the same view as the sitting room so you can admire the sea without even getting out of bed. At night, with the window open, you can hear the shush of waves breaking and the occasional seagulls cry.
The twin bedroom has a pair of Edwardian brass beds again with bespoke mattresses. The sofa bed sleeps a further two guests.
All the bed linen is 100% cotton. The feather pillows and duvets are of the highest quality and supplied to 5 star London hotels. They are ‘Nomite’ so even those who suffer from house dust allergies or asthma can enjoy their comfort. In addition ‘Downafresh’ guarantee that they comply with strict hygiene requirements, and all laws relating to animal welfare and ethics.
Bespoke fluffy towelling robes are provided.
A pop-up cot and a pushchair are also available for families with babies.
The brand new bathroom has both tub and shower.
• External key safe allowing guests to check in at any time.

Opposite Heene Terrace are private landscaped gardens for the use of residents.
There is a road, then you are on the promenade and the beach. In season the glories of the Great British seaside await with miniature trains, ice creams and the promenade for a stroll or cycle ride, the pier, children’s play areas etc. Outside high season there is nothing like a walk along the promenade, watching the waves and breathing in fresh salty air.
The Poet’s district has its own excellent café’s, restaurants, antique shops and convenience stores. It’s a short walk into town with its flourishing arts and theatre scene.
If you want to explore further afield try Shoreham by sea, a medieval town with cobbled pedestrian area, full of great restaurants, coffee bars, artists and antiques. Or a short train ride takes you into cosmopolitan Brighton.
Transport links and parking.
Worthing is easily accessed by car or train. There are direct trains from London Victoria. There are two railway stations- Worthing and West Worthing – both approximately 1 mile away. There is an excellent network of coastal buses also available.
Metered parking is available outside or free parking is a short distance away. Maps showing the parking areas are provided. I can get hold of a limited number of parking permits - please mention this on booking and I can advise on availability.
Some other considerations;
The terrace does not have modern sound proofing technology and sound can travel through the building. In order to avoid being a nuisance to other residents clients are kindly asked to remove their shoes when in the apartment and to try to avoid making too much noise late in the evening or in the morning. The apartment is not suitable for parties but I can recommend venues that would be pleased to welcome revellers.
