Awesome modern cabin!
This cabin was absolutely adorable and homey. Made our stay pleasant!
Great stay on Lake Saganaga!
Beautiful cabin on a lovely spot overlooking the Lake! Caught fish(ate them) and hunted for grouse(ate them). Well equipped and attentive staff for our needs. Thanks! Four stars because we had some trouble with the water heater. They are going to address that issue.
Thank you so much for the review! We are happy to hear you had a great time and got to enjoy fresh fish and grouse, what a treat. It was a joy to have you and your family! We hope to see you again in the future.
I wrote a full review on TripAdvisor, which is where I originally booked this property. Conformation did come through VRBO/HomeAway, so I wasn't surprised. It's a beautiful cabin in an amazing location. I hope to go back one day. There were some difficulties which could easily be corrected (read TripAdvisor), but overall it was just wonderful.
One thing I hope they correct in the future is the lake access. It's nonexistent from the cabin. Almost at the end of our stay we saw an employee of voyager outfitters showing several people the path down to a boat landing area. I wish they had been more specific about that as we would have loved docking our kayaks there. However, as we tried to scope it out, noticed privacy signs posted everywhere.. No Tresspassing, etc., so we were afraid to explore further. Employee at Voyager was very vague.
Lovely setting and decor is simple, natural and tasteful.
The water is hardly accessible from the house, especially difficult to access while carrying a boat, due to the steepness. The dock is very unstable. Beds are very comfortable and the house was clean overall. Garbage was stored outside and attracted a couple bears so we put it in the mudroom. There were a few broken things that were annoying- the shower door that wouldn't open properly made it hard to get in the shower unless skinny, but the upstairs shower had almost no water pressure. The dishwasher rack was broken which was loud and clumsy and caused a glass to break. The screen door at the deck doesn't close snugly and mosquitos seemed to know exactly how to get inside. There were things stored in the dryer and a wet load of laundry in the washing machine (yuck) so we didn't use the machines although we wanted to. These are all little things but made our expensive stay less comfortable. At the high rate they charge it should be better. Voyageur Canoe Outfitter was very supportive and helpful. They let us just use one of their boats instead of the one at the house because the water was too difficult to access on our side of the peninsula. Loons, eagles, and moose, hail, sunsets, islands and swimming- a great place to vacation!
Thank you so much for your review! We greatly appreciate the constructive criticism. We are sorry to hear there were a couple things not up to standard and will be getting those things fixed promptly. We will also be adding an easier access to the water and hope that you can return and see the updates we have made in the future! Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again!
