This home is beautifully decorated with a warm inviting contemporary cabin feel, soft warm colors and pine ceilings throughout.

On the main level is a fully equipped modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas burners, granite counter tops, an island and a window seat, making this a favorite place to unwind while preparing your meals. A large deck surrounding this house is accessible from the kitchen for cooking on the gas grill or from the great room for relaxing and taking in the magnificent surrounding views.

As you walk up the stairs to the spacious loft area, which overlooks the great room, you will find a Queen log bed, a sleeper sofa and a comfortable recliner to sit, relax or read your favorite book. This also can serve as "the great escape" for the kids to have a place of their own with a large TV and a Wii play station.

As you make your way to the lower level of this three level home, you will find the third bedroom with a comfortable Queen bed and a walkout door for privacy, along with a 3-piece bath with shower. Access to the one-car attached garage is available from this lower level, also.

This home is located only 1/2 mile from the Rocky Mountain National Park Entrance Visitors Center, where the elk, deer and Big Horn sheep spend much of their time and within walking distance to several restaurants and a country market. Also, you are only minutes from the great town of Estes Park for more dining, shopping adventures and amusement parks. This lovely log home offers the best of both worlds; peaceful environment, relaxing decor, gorgeous views, yet not too far from all the amenities of town.

This home sleeps 6-8 comfortably with garage, gas gill and gas fireplace included.

Nice location

  • 2 of 5

House was in a great location to get to Rocky Mt Nat Park. Easy to get in and out. The house doesn't have air. Didn't see this when booking. Temp was 89 in house when we arrived. Once windows were open it did cool down, but would have been nice to know prior to arriving. Wasn't able to get into house at contract time. It was 2 hours later as the cleaners were not done cleaning. Did question cleanliness of towels as you are responsible to washing prior to leaving. Wonder if bleaching should be on instructions. Basement had a smell that led us not to use basement at all. Estes park is a beautiful area! The house is beautiful. There were lots of extras (board games, movies, Nintendo Wii, snacks, etc) which was a nice touch. We will go back to area, however, will likely stay elsewhere as there are numerous nice options which probably are cheaper.

Owner's Response: We endeavor to ensure our home is a first rate experience for our guests. As stated earlier we are looking into blinds for the windows to help reduce the heat. I do wonder how the house heated up so quickly if the cleaners had just finished prior to you arrival. I did address their tardiness which was one hour late and it will not happen again. We do provide laundry soap for our guests along with many other niceties for our guests. You did not mention anything about the lower level to our property manager during your stay. Had you, he would have addressed the issue promptly. For future reference his number is in the guest binder.

Beautiful house in a great location.

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay in Estes Park. The house was beautiful and in a great location for our trips into Rocky Mountain National Park. The two-story windows and deck offer great views of the mountains. The house is very comfortable and open with plenty of space for everyone. One word of caution, those same windows let in a lot of sun and in mid July with the temps in the mid 90s, the living room was pretty toasty in the afternoon. We'd love the chance to stay here again.

Owner's Response: For future reference, we had the house designed to allow for convection to cool the house. If the doors and windows are open the natural flow of the air cools the house quite well. We will also be adding blinds to the living room windows as soon as we find the appropriate product.

Beautiful house, but very hot from big windows

  • 4 of 5

We would love to give this house 5 stars. It is beautiful, well appointed and well kept. However, the 2- story windows have western exposure with no blinds so the house gets very, very hot in the afternoon and evening. The front door could use a screen so you can get good cross ventilation, because present air flow is very poor. We realize it may not be hot that often, but we were there last week of June (with temps in high 80s) and it was tough, even with the ceiling fans. Would also appreciate a recycling bin, since the town does recycle.

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying in our home. We do try very hard to make it as comfortable as possible. We have found that the cool evenings keep the house comfortable. If you open the windows on all levels there is plenty of airflow to cool the house.

Stunning views

  • 4 of 5

The property was really comforting. Very relaxing atmosphere and close to shops, convenience stores and dining. The no air was a bit of a bummer it was to hot to sleep at night comfortably, the 3rd bedroom didnt have a tv and so for a kid that was also a let down. Thank goodness for wifi so she could stay on her phone. And the cleaning company missed a lot from previous tennant.soda cans under the upstairs bedroom along with a piece of bread. In living room popcorn on end table and muffin pieces under couch. This of course out of renters hands but to pay $150 cleaning fee and have to clean up after previous renters needs to be addressed. Stairs going downstairs are also very creaky so best to have kids on main level or upstairs loft area because everytime someone goes up or down stairs you get woken up in main floor bedroom because of how creaky they are. All in all if there was air I would stay here again the views made up for the other little things. And coming back to a elk under the deck was awesome.

Owner's Response: I am so very sorry for the oversight on the cleaning. We strive to maintain an first rate rental and to hear this is disquieting to say the least. We will ensure such a situation is not encountered again.
