The Space:

Our modern, two-story house, ‘Casa Bella Boutique’, is ideal for a couple or family looking for a modern, stylish place to stay close to all the action of Downtown Charleston. The house has been lovingly and tastefully furnished throughout, with walls featuring beautiful planks of salvaged wood. The interior is split over two floors, with a foyer, living room and kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The house features:

A cozy living room with a 50-inch HDTV and sofa bed

A modern, bright, fully-equipped kitchen with dining area, microwave, coffee maker and fridge-freezer with ice dispenser

Two bedrooms with queen-size beds and high-quality bed linen

Two bathrooms with clawfoot bathtubs, overhead showers and fluffy towels

A stylish foyer area with a small table and seating

A laundry area with washer and dryer

The Neighborhood:

Our house is situated in the heart of the Downtown area of Charleston, a historic neighborhood known as the cultural capital of the South full of historic landmarks, museums, churches and art galleries, as well as great restaurants and bars.

For great shopping, you’re only a few minutes walk from the lively King Street, an area known for its great shops, including antique shops, book stores, fashion boutiques, as well as great restaurants.

For an authentic Charlestonian experience, the Charleston City Market, one of the oldest public markets in America and a National Historic Landmark, is just a short walk away. Stretching over 4 city blocks and with over 300 vendors, it’s the best place to sample great Southern cuisine and buy souvenirs.

On a Saturday, we recommend heading to Marion Square, just a short walk away, where you can visit the Farmers’ Market. Here you can buy locally-grown produce, handmade goods, and delicious cuisine. It’s also a lovely green space for Charlestonian locals and tourists alike to soak up some sun.

Getting Around:

The property is in walking distance to the heart of downtown Charleston (King and Calhoun) where everything is. But here are a list of other transportation services just in case.

this is a great little house. Perfect location. would definitely not put more than two couples though. it was clean and well supplied. we had a great stay!

Great place in a great location!

We stayed Jan 1-4 at Casa Bella and thought it was great accommodation for our family of 5! The house has beautiful old charm, but is fully functional with new kitchen appliances. It is very private and quaint.

We were unfortunately there for the snow bomb that hit Charleston so didn’t get to take advantage of the walking distance location, but based on our freezing drives it was close to everything you could want.

Would definitely recommend and hope to return in warmer weather!

Darker bedroom blinds and more updated washrooms would be the only thing I’d add to make it an even cozier retreat. But was still lovely as is.

Loved Charleston

Great location! We had a girls trip celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. The house is a little old and historical like a lot of Charleston, a lot of character. Kitchen is great and updated. Bathrooms would be only drawback, but not major. Owners were helpful and returned messages quickly. We were able to walk everywhere and loved being close to the campus. We look forward to going back!

Loved our stay...great location to Upper King Street, and historic district

Pros: Old Charleston house newly renovated, providing plenty of space for our 2 couples traveling to College of Charleston (literally right across the street). Location was perfect for us, walkable to everything we wanted to do. Walk down King Street is wonderful, and location to shops/dining/nightlife is perfect. Weekend Farmers Market was a great local event to happen upon - just 2/3 blocks from house. Kitchen was well stocked (we did no cooking, so cannot speak to cookware), house had everything we needed. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms w/ identical very comfy beds, front bedroom has an ensuite bath, back bedroom uses hall bath. There is an open space/foyer area upstairs between 2 bedrooms that could hold an air mattress (in closet). Neighborhood seems to be college students and other rentals like ours. Rental company was super helpful with any/all questions we had, and very prompt.

"Cons": Outdoor Lighting: Could use some in the front...We arrived at night and it was a little confusing to get into house. Only light for us was streetlight.

Bathrooms: Both bathrooms have older, high set clawfoot tubs, with wrap-around shower curtains. Could be an issue w/ getting into/out of tub for older adults...

Maybe use some privacy shades/blinds/curtains in bedrooms...currently have shears...

Be aware of: Parking--when they say only for smaller cars, they mean it! We had a BMW4 series car and it JUST fit down the very narrow 'driveway'.

Thank you to Duvet LLC for letting us keep our car in parking space for the afternoon upon checkout...very nice! Our stay was great, and would definitely recommend.

Location Location Location

The property was very quaint & offered our party of 4 all we were hoping for! Reasonable walking distance to the market , dining , and entertainment... or an inexpensive Uber ride. While the bathrooms are a little tight, everything else the property had to offer was great! Would definitely recommend the property!
