We are a local family who love to share the aloha spirit with visitors to our island. We love to give local insight and great tips on what you can do to have a great stay. My wife and I will give you absolute privacy once you are checked in but will always be happy and available to help you.
Why B. chose Waimanalo Beach
We bought our place because it reminded me of the way I grew up here in Hawaii--near the beach, undeveloped, walking around barefoot. It is true country, no sidewalks, no horn honking, no hassles. People are welcoming, friendly and always willing to lend a hand. I wanted the same kind of upbringing I had for my kids.
What makes this House unique
Our area is truly one of the best kept secrets in the world. It has the most amazing stretches of beaches on one side and towering grooved green mountains on the other. Locals affectionately call our area "God's Country." We are still non commercialized and visitors can really get away. The great thing is that 10 minutes in either direction you will find fine dining, art galleries, and shopping. Kailua (west of us) is fast becoming a "Little Waikiki" where tourist shops and galleries are popping up. It has some of the best little restaurants around. Hawaii Kai (East of us) has three large and busy shopping centers with movie theaters to Costco and everything in between. The drive there is along the Kaiwi coast, one of the most majestic strips of coastline you'll ever see. Lots of little beaches along the way and the famous Hanauma Bay where you can snorkel and see all sorts of ocean life. Water sports galore. We love the hiking in the mountains behind our house. Spectacular views after relatively easy hikes. We are also avid cyclists and enjoy the smooth rural roads just off our street. The Polo fields down the road always offer us "neighing" equine greetings as we drive to the market. We love this place and so will you!

Real relaxation, no worries...
We loved our stay in Keren's beach house! The house had everything we needed to make our stay as relaxing as possible. I was there with my husband and my adult daughter, no kids, so we didn't use the sand toys, but we used most of the other beach items. There were great beach chairs, lots of towels, and boogie boards, and the beach was only a short 4 minute walk down the street. The beach was never crowded, often nearly deserted. The waves were great fun, and the winds were completely welcome and made the temps and humidity very comfortable. The back yard was a big plus, and we spent a lot of time out there under the gazebo. It had an outdoor shower for our returns from the beach. Lots of cool birds to watch. To our surprise, we realized at the end of the trip that we had only eaten out a few times, twice at Ono's Steak and Shrimp Shack. Yum! The kitchen is so well equipped that we cooked a lot, and used the BBQ several times as well. We even made pina coladas! It was a delightful stay, and we highly recommend it to those that are looking to relax, and not seeking an active night life.
Great beach house!
Location is amazing, a couple of minutes walk to an amazing beach on Waimanalo.
The house itself is well decorated and very clean but a bit small for dining and a/c units are either non functional or extremely loud making sleeping either very warm or noisy. Beds were comfortable. Washer and dryer were really useful.
Full set of beach gear and towels are available to use.
Bud and Keren are super welcoming and were very accomodating with providing us with a late check-out.
All in all, would recommend!
What a beach!
We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday at the house. It has a very comfortable living area with all amenities you need in the kitchen. The backyard had loads of room for our son to run around in. Mum and Dad enjoyed evenings reading under the gazebo. The real gem about this house is the spectacular location with a short stroll to the magical Waimanalo beach. In addition, you are a short drive from pretty much anywhere on the island, but especially to some magical walking on the nearby hills. The owners were prompt with communications and provided all the information necessary for a great stay.
A thoroughly beautiful location, spectacular beach, and a comfortable house to enjoy them both for a relaxing and restful holiday. We would encourage anyone to consider this location for a stay on O'ahu.
Great place! Close to the beach!
Clean, well stocked, and everything worked!!
Open concept of kitchen and living room, full size washer and dryer. Large fenced yard.
The house was perfect for my family of 7 one being an infant. Very nicely decorated and a relaxed atmosphere. I love that Keren had everything we needed, sundries, laundry items, condiments, beach towels and sunscreen items.
They also had toys for the kids indoors and beach accessories. Snorkel gear, boogie boards, and an umbrella. The beach is just a short walk away.
The side fenced in yard was a big hit. Barbecue, a gazebo area with night lights made a perfect night time hangout. Also there was an outside shower, how cool is that!
The lawn and plam trees were beautiful and a couple of big snails came to visit us on the last day.
Our time was short, but very enjoyable and most of all we had a great time walking into a comfortable relaxed home instead of a hotel room.
I would definitely recommend Keren’s home to anyone, but especially to families with little kids.
Property well kept and fit our needs
Close to a beautiful and uncrowded beach. Owners were nice to provide nice welcoming treat basket. Convenient to have laundry in the suite. Suite was spacious enough to fit my whole family comfortably. Having a Wii U kept my kids busy when we weren't out. Thank you for the comfortable stay!
