Million Dollar View
This is our 3rd Stay at Milima Ranch. That should be enough to say how much we enjoy Milky Way Cabin. The view of the mountains, the comfort and luxury of the home is fantastic. Angie was awesome as property manager. Answered all our questions immediately. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all to relax this is the place.
Beautiful home and property. So relaxing. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was here. Love the little porches and private areas. I spent most of the time on the huge screened in porch watching the birds and enjoying the view. Just a wonderful time. Great communications with host! Can't say enough good things about it!! Thank you for everything.!
Luxurious Mountain Retreat
If you are debating over whether or not to book this rental, don't hesitate to. This cabin is absolutely stunning. From the amazing view of the North Carolina mountain ranges, to the manicured, private hiking trails, to the fully stocked kitchen. This house will exceed all of your expectations and you will not be disappointed. Angie was a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive to the few questions we had. We will be returning to this gem.
Beautiful property and house located in the rolling hills jabout 40 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina. Hosts were very accommodating.
Incredible Property with Unbelievable Views
I booked this property a few months in advance for my family to spend the New Year's holiday. As time for us to go grew nearer, I managed to talk myself out of believing that there was any way the actual property would look like the pictures. I WAS WRONG. Everything about this property is absolutely breathtaking. The weather wasn't all that great during our stay - cloudy and drizzly a lot of the time - yet I still wasn't ready to leave. From the casual but classy decor to the million dollar views, this place is amazing.
The kitchen was probably the most well stocked and organized of any rental we have booked. Outside of the food, everything we needed was there. We have learned through our traveling experiences that many people often (understandably) use lower quality bedding, towels, furniture, etc. in their vacation home rentals...that's not the case at the Milky Way cabin. I have never felt more "at home" somewhere that was not my home. Hats off to the owners and Angie, the property manager (she's great at communicating during your stay!), for offering an outstanding vacation experience.
The hiking trails are groomed just enough to feel confident that you aren't going to get lost, but not so much that you don't feel fully immersed in nature. I highly recommend the white trail...it's pretty steep at places, but the view from the top is one you won't soon forget.
It is a little bit of a drive into town, so I recommend stopping at one of the grocery stores on the way up to get most everything you need in the way of food before you arrive. We went into Waynesville (really cute town!) for dinner once, and that was plenty for me. I would have been just as happy to stay at the cabin the entire time.
The morning of day two my husband and I sat on the porch drinking coffee, looking at the blue ridge mountains in the distance, and listening to the nearby rushing stream while already looking at our calendars trying to figure out when we thought we could return. A word of warning, though - if relaxation and beautiful scenery aren't your thing, this might not be the place for you.
What a lovely review! Thank you!
Sounds like you enjoyed your stay and we hope you made many memories! Thank you for choosing Milky Way Cabin for your winter getaway!
We'd love to welcome you back to Milky Way Cabin for another getaway!
Beautiful cabin! Would highly recommend!
Cabin was very well appointed. Kitchen has everything you needed to cook or if you prefer to go out there was a wonderful restaurant we found in Waynesville. We will be back to this property!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Milky Way Cabin!
All 4 seasons are wonderful in the Western NC mountains, especially at Milima Ranch.
