Historic 1940's log cabin. Four Season, cozy chalet in traditional log cabin style on the shores of the non-motorized and unique Lac Pierre Aubin. The home sits in a sunny glen surrounded by an acre of woods with a stream flowing through the property. A private path leads down the hiil and across our bridge to the sandy beach with swimming dock, picnic tables, volleyball net, swings and seesaws for kids. We have a private dock, and pedal boat and row boat provided for lake access. Campfire site by the lake. Lake stocked with trout. Lots of wildlife. Canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, tennis and road cycling.

The whole house is snug and warm in the winter.
Get away, relax and unplug: This is an ideal spot to get away from everything. We've chosen to 'unplug' ourselves and the kids: there's no TV or internet service in this getaway spot. You WILL find games, books and lots reasons to get outside or stay in and curl up in a cozy spot with a book or for a chat. We bring along our laptops and watch DVD's there.
When we need to 'check-in', St Adolphe d'Howard is a short 10 minute drive through the woods. The village has several café's, restaurants/boulangeries, video rental, library (with internet to check in), clinic and pharmacy. Spa d'Howard is 12 minutes from our place, tucked next to a river and offers full spa amenities and outdoors salt-water spa. Other Nordic spas (Ofuro, Le Refuge, Le Baltique) are within 20 minute drive. St. Sauveur and St Agathe are 20 minutes from our house with everything they both offer.
It takes a day or two to slow down to 'cabin speed' but even our teenagers like the change of pace!
Enjoy the beautiful Laurentians: Our lake is unique; it has a community and swim beach on the east end, and no roads or development on the west end. With a short 10 minute paddle you are enjoying quiet Canadian woods mingling with beavers, otters and loons. The lake is stocked with trout for good fishing. The large sandy beach with it's floating dock to dive from is unusual for a northwoods lake and carefully maintained. It is for Domaine members only, and as our guests it is yours to enjoy.
Once you leave our quiet corner, you will find that St Adolphe is in the heart of the Laurentian mountains, well-known for its vacation activities. Biking along the Petite Train du Norde, Go-Carts, Water-parks, Horseback riding, ATV (VTT) rentals, pontoon, motorboat and sailboat rentals. Hiking, golfing, tennis, rollerblading and skateboard park, jet-skiing, and camping are some of the activities nearby.
