We had a great weekend in New York staying here. It is a great location, one block from the Subway .the place is nice and clean and is as described. We did not meet our host but she was very responsive, we really appreciated that since she left us eggs and bread and coffee and milk for the morning .I would recommend this host because we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in New York in the future

Owner's Response: Viviana's family was a pleasure to host and to communicate with before and during their stay. They clearly enjoyed their long weekend in New York because we didn't even have the opportunity to meet, despite the fact that we live on-site as well. They were considerate of the property and left the apartment as they found it. We would welcome the opportunity to host Viviana's family again in the future.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We - a family with 3 kids 16,20,23 - spent 4 nights in Kakunas appartement and were very happy with it. It was a great place to calm down after a day in this loud, fantastic, crazy, wonderful NYC. You find everything you need in the neighborhood, shops, restaurants, an awsome fish market and even a doctor at 8pm! The appartement including the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and spottless. We very appreciated to find coffee, toast ,....and even eggs for the first breakfast! Thank you! Kakuna is a friendly owner always ready to help if needed. We definitely recommend this place.

Just Steps away from the Subway

  • 5 of 5

This is a comfortable roomy apartment in a Harlem Brownstone. Close to St Nicholas Park and the Historic Hamilton Grange, Home of Alexander Hamilton. It is up two flights of steep stairs but worth the climb. Owners are gracious and helpful.

Clean, Convenient, & Charming

  • 5 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The convenience to the subway line is a huge plus. The apartment was spotless when we arrived. Greatly appreciated the basic food items, i.e. coffee. We would book again if we have the opportunity to visit the New York area again.
