Super cute apartment. Wonderful roof top deck and very quiet when the windows are closed and the AC
Terrific experience, very nice apartment.
Perfect Chelsea Perch
Great location. Great studio apartment— clean, stylish and just enough space to unwind. Terrific host.
Great location, lovely host, perfect for us.
Great Hosts, Nice Studio, Good Location
The Hosts live in the same building so you don't need to worry about the owner cancelling your reservation because he/she needs the space back. This is a big plus because we booked Mike's studio after our original booking made over a month ago was cancelled by the host who needed the space back. All appliances and the heating/ac unit are nearly new. Everything works. Also, you are checking into what appears to be a newly remodeled space with none of the owners clothes and other belongings taking up space. Its a small studio but the space is fine for two people.
The location on a residential side street is near 10th avenue convenience stores, the Highline, and restaurants. In less than 10 minutes you can be at the 23 street and 8th avenue subway. Penn Station is a 15 minute walk. From there Laguardia, JFK, or Newark airport just 30 minutes more or take Amtrak to DC or Boston. Walk down 10th Avenue or the High Line for 10 minutes and you are in Chelsea Market; two blocks more in Greenwich Village.
September in Chelsea
It was perfect! The studio had everything we needed! Our host was very welcoming and we plan to stay here again. It is a lovely neighborhood and within walking distance to the High Line and other attractions. Chelsea Market is close as well! Thank you for making our visit perfect - we will return! - Jean and Veronica
Best Location, Awesome Apartment, Amazing Owners!
I can’t say enough about this place. I actually think the place is better than the photos and I have a VRBO property!
First the people. Mike the owner is great, greets you at the door, carries your bag up the stairs. He’s incredibly helpful, polite and uber nice. He makes sure you know about all of the great places in the area that you need to hit up, his wife has put together a great guide book with information on the area. They live on the bottom floor and are always accessible. We had a bunch of packages we needed delivered and we got them all!
They graciously let our little pup Dwight stay at the apartment, We were happy about that.
Secondly the apartment. We can tell the owners take pride in their spot and it’s not just an apartment where all second hand stuff gets shoved into so they can make a quick buck. All of their furnishing are top quality, the bed is super comfortable, the kitchen is brand new, there are plenty of matching bowls, glasses and silverware. I say matching because it’s amazing how many VRBO owners don’t care about that stuff. These guys do. The towels are super big and fluffy, the sheets are crisp, white and fluffy! They even have a filtered water jug waiting for you in the fridge. They really have thought of everything.
There is an HVAC unit in the apartment that’s commercial grade and newly installed (seemingly) windows that keep a good part of the city noise out.
Thirdly the area. Chelsea is awesome and hugely diverse. We love it!! The Rocking Horse Cafe has to be one of our fave Mexican restaurants ever! Jakes Saloon, The West Side Bar(?) bartender pours a strong drink, Chelsea Square Diner is great but our fave restaurant was Pastai, amazingly fresh, homemade fancy pasta dishes.
You are right by the High Line and if you want to go for a run a few blocks is the west side bike and running trail. Chelsea Piers is a 7 minute walk!
One knock? We couldn’t stay longer. We’ll be back!
