This newly renovated vintage home is surrounded by a private forest and fishing pond. It is 5 mins driving distance to Calgary, 25 mins driving to YYC and 45 to 90 mins to major attractions in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Activities around the property include BBQ, biking, hiking. Great for individuals, families, and tour groups. Full access to most of the property including guest rooms, home theatre, space around the property, as well as the private pound. The host resides 5 minutes away from the property and would be able to address issues that the guests may have at a moment's notice. The host is happy to give advise on how to get around Calgary and on great places to see.

-There are frequent sighting of wildlife on the property (moose and deer) guests may take pictures but is prohibited from approaching or feeding the wildlife as they may become frightened and attack humans.

Great location for a larger family gathering and great layout for sleeping.

We had great service from the owner. They were very thoughtful and went above and beyond for our needs. The location is great for hitting main roads In and around Calgary. A perfect place for our family reunion.

Would not recommend for large family...

The place is big enough for 20-24 people for sure, but does not have proper needs for it. They don’t have Air Conditioning in the house, that gets super discomfortable in Hot weather like we had in July.

Hot Running water goes away after 4-5 people takes shower. They need a bigger hot water tank and properly working one maybe. So having 20 people staying there, especially 6 kids, you can’t stay without Hot water.

Great location, nice property

Eleven of us stayed at this property in early October 2017. We had an event in Cochrane, and this location was very convenient to both the amenities of Calgary and the Cochrane event. Absolutely beautiful area! The house is recently renovated everywhere except the kitchen cupboards. Very nice washrooms, and the house was clean with the exception of the kitchen cupboards. We found that the dishes and cutlery were inadequate, even though we were not cooking - just bringing food in - but that said, there was enough to manage (not the first time we have had to drink wine from a coffee mug! :)). The bedrooms, again, were very nice and well cleaned. If I were to make a suggestion for improvement, I would say that we would do better with a single queen-sized bed in each bedroom, with optional rolling cots, or perhaps extra twin-sized beds in the larger rooms. Couples do not generally like to share a room, and the additional space would be helpful. Claiming that this property "sleeps 20" means that 4 people need to sleep in each bedroom. One more suggestion would be to add seating to the gathering rooms. All said and done, we were extremely happy to be able to stay together and have lots of gathering space. One last note: one of our party required a walker. The doorways would likely not accommodate a larger-sized wheelchair, but the walker was fine, and there is lots of space on the main floor, once you get up the two steps inside the front entrance. The owner was very pleasant and helpful during the booking and during the stay.

All guests are expected to strictly adhere to the following rules please read carefully as any confirmed booking is a deemed acceptance by the guest of such rules:
1. ABSOLUTELY NO smoking inside the home or in the garage.
2. ABSOLUTELY NO drugs inside any parts of the home or outside the home but within the property limit.
3. Guests must put out their garbage in the designated bin outside the home daily. Any garbage that is left behind inside or outside the property without proper disposal is considered safety hazard.
4. In order to protect all guests' quiet enjoyment of the property, no loud noise is allowed in the home and on the property after 11 pm.
5. NO PARTIES are allowed unless specifically approved in writing by the Host. Additional Party Charges may apply.
6. NO PETS allowed - Young Children (between age 5-15) are welcome but no infants are allowed.
7. The Furniture, Furnishings, Pictures and Appliances must not be removed or relocated.
8. The Bedding and other Supplies are for convenience and use of our guests. They belong to and must remain at the premises. Any damage or Blood stain to the bedding, furniture or other essentials will be charged against the damage deposit.
9. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRES (fire pits etc.) on the outside of the property, Driveway or Lawn without the host permission.
10. Guests may have visiting friends but all persons who are not registered to reside at the property must leave the property before 10 pm.
11. Guests are strictly forbidden from bringing additional guests that exceed the number of guests registered to reside at the property.
12. Guests are responsible for their own belongs and are recommended to keep their valuables secured in their rooms. The hosts would not be responsible for any loss or damage.
13. The guests are responsible for leaving lights in the guest rooms and all windows and doors in the house properly secured and shut especially as the guests leave the house. Any damage resulting from the guest’
