Cheery Cottage, Walk To Downtown Dunedin

Bedrooms 1
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 5 - 14 nights

About the property

447 Douglas Avenue. Live the special downtown cottage experience in beautiful fully updated style. Our semi-detached cottage has everything for you, new appliances (fridge, range, microwave), new cabinets with granite countertops, new bathroom. Master bedroom (Queen bed), Family room with 2-seat dining table, and Kitchen.

Lovely on-site full-size washer/dryer “mini-cottage”. Outdoor 4-chair dining table with umbrella -- perfect area to sit and relax. WiFi, Cable, flat-screen TV, and books. Private, off-street parking space, parking lot shared with two other cottages.

Douglas Avenue is our “2nd Main Street”, so close to everything, but not as much hustle and bustle as downtown. It’s a great little residential area for you to explore: walk 4 blocks to Main St/Marina, 1 block Blue Jays Stadium, 1 block St. Joseph Sound and Linear Park (sunsets!), 100 yards to Pinellas Trail (walk/run/bike), 1 block Dunedin Library.

An easy 15 minute drive to amazing Clearwater Beach with its expansive highly reviewed white sand beaches (go anytime you want, but live in our nice quiet relaxing hideaway, a bit separated from the mass of the crowds).

Another quick 10 minute trip to award winning Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands, some of the best beaches anywhere.

What a wonderful day trip you have waiting for you to downtown Tarpon Springs, just 20 minutes up the road, more great dining options, lots of history, and fascinating little shops with local merchants sharing their treasures.

And then of course, our crown jewel, Downtown Dunedin -- fantastic range of fine and casual dining options, eclectic boutique shops, several of the coolest craft breweries with in/outdoor seating, a great little ice cream shop, 4 parks, and the marina with fishing/walking pier, all only a short walk from your cottage.

It’s all here. We welcome you to this special part of Florida!

(( Our cottages are strictly for non-smokers, even if you are considerate and smoke off-site. Some guests are very sensitive to smoke, so we just can't allow even the slightest smoke residue to enter our cottages. Thanks for understanding ))

Clean, quiet, and within walking distance of downtown Dunedin. The perfect get-away.

  • 5 of 5

This Cherry Cottage was the best place we have stayed! We arrived to bottled water, gluten-free snacks, our own private picnic table in a beautifully landscaped property, and accommodations that invited us to kick our feet up and relax for a while. Everything was new and so clean! The shower has great water pressure with beautifully tiled walls. The owners have put so much care and love into this cottage, we felt like this was our vacation home. The HVAC system with the "fan-on" feature allowed us the ambient noise to sleep very well, every night (this is one of the key things we look for when staying at hotels, and this cottage has it). There is so much to do in Dunedin, and this cottage is within walking distance. The Pinellas County trail is a half block away, the ocean is 2 blocks away, and downtown where you can get cold drinks, coffee, and food is 2 blocks away. If you have strict dietary requirements, as we do, Dunedin has many restaurants that cater to vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free restrictions. We will definitely return to this Cheery Cottage for rest, relaxation, and recharging!

Best Vacation Rental Ever!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was absolutely adorable. Bright, charming, extremely clean, with updated appliances and bath, and absolutely everything needed to relax and enjoy the Dubedin Florida area. The cottage is just a few short blocks from the water, and a short walk to all the shops, restraurants, and countless breweries. The owners are friendly, inviting, and will answer any questions you may have about the area. We stayed for a month, and would not hesitate a minute about staying here again. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.
