Overview

About the property

449 Douglas Avenue. Live the special downtown cottage experience in beautiful fully updated style. Our semi-detached cottage has everything for you, new appliances (fridge, range, microwave), new cabinets with granite countertops, new bathroom. Master bedroom (Queen bed), Family room with 2-seat dining table, and Kitchen.

Lovely on-site full-size washer/dryer “mini-cottage”. Outdoor 2-chair patio table -- perfect area to sit and relax. WiFi, Cable, flat-screen TV, and books. Private, off-street parking space, parking lot shared with two other cottages.

Douglas Avenue is our “2nd Main Street”, so close to everything, but not as much hustle and bustle as downtown. It’s a great little residential area for you to explore: walk 4 blocks to Main St/Marina, 1 block Blue Jays Stadium, 1 block St. Joseph Sound and Linear Park (sunsets!), 100 yards to Pinellas Trail (walk/run/bike), 1 block Dunedin Library.

An easy 15 minute drive to amazing Clearwater Beach with its expansive highly reviewed white sand beaches (go anytime you want, but live in our nice quiet relaxing hideaway, a bit separated from the mass of the crowds).

Another quick 10 minute trip to award winning Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands, some of the best beaches anywhere.

What a wonderful day trip you have waiting for you to downtown Tarpon Springs, just 20 minutes up the road, more great dining options, lots of history, and fascinating little shops with local merchants sharing their treasures.

And then of course, our crown jewel, Downtown Dunedin -- fantastic range of fine and casual dining options, eclectic boutique shops, several of the coolest craft breweries with in/outdoor seating, a great little ice cream shop, 4 parks, and the marina with fishing/walking pier, all only a short walk from your cottage.

It’s all here. We welcome you to this special part of Florida!

(( Our cottages are strictly for non-smokers, even if you are considerate and smoke off-site. Some guests are very sensitive to smoke, so we just can't allow even the slightest smoke residue to enter our cottages. Thanks for understanding ))

The Best!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage! We have stayed at many vacation rentals in Dunedin and this one is the best! The place is spotless and has all amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. Amazing location, walking distance to downtown and to the water. Linda is an amazing host and knows how to treat her guests. Thanks again Linda.

A wonderful April.

  • 5 of 5

Renting from Chris and Linda was everything and more than I had hoped for. Their cottage was clean and modern and equipped with everything I needed. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I loved the convenience to the bike trail, beaches and state parks. A short walk to downtown and the bonus of two minor league stadiums close by for evening ball games. Can't say enough about it other than if it wasn't for missing my grandkids I would've stayed longer. Thank you so much Chris and Linda.

Perfect Time, Perfect Place!

  • 5 of 5

This will sound like hyperbole, but Linda and her husband made us feel like family. We arrived to find our two week home stocked with items to help us get through the first days of our stay. The cottage was spotless and the location is within walking distance of Dunedin and just across the street from the Pinellas Trail. Dunedin has a "small" town feel but with tons of stuff to do within a short distance. We had a blast.

Thanks you Linda for a perfect time in your lovely cottage and for the friendship you and your husband extended to us. Hope to see you again next year!

Blessings,

Bob Arthur

Fabulous location, wonderful accommodations, the best hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Nestled off the main road in Dunedin, Florida, this VRBO is perfect. I stayed for over a month between selling my home and moving into a townhouse. You can walk to downtown Dunedin, the library, the Blue Jays stadium, and the Bay. It's a block away from the trail that runs North-South through Pinellas County. The space is comfortable, updated, and relaxing. I work from home and spent every day at the VRBO. It was quiet, pet friendly, and the hosts are amazing (there when you need them and not when you don't). My daughter and I had the right amount of space inside and out for us and our dogs. We walked to downtown for dinner, the pub, movies in the park, and holiday events (this VRBO is on the Christmas parade route!) It felt like home even though it was a VRBO.

Cozy, cute and perfect location.

Just the right size for two. Great location, close enough to Main Street to walk, close to the Pinellas Trail, close to Bayshore Drive, close to the BlueJays spring training. Has just about everything you need. Linda is very friendly and helpful. We will be back.
