Nice but needing some updates

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful area, nicely decorated and equipped.

Would have liked to have had beach towels.

Screen doors on porch need to be replaced as they do not slide open easily. Issues with the Elevator when we were there.

None of these impacted our visit which was very enjoyable. Thank you!

Nice view. Worn out accommodations. Would not return or recommend.

  • 2 of 5

Oceanfront view was very nice, and this is obviously what was the only value to this property. To start, we were given keys to a keyless property then given an incomplete code and no instructions for the odd way to open the door. It took an hour to work out how to enter condo. The furniture was old, musty, and uncomfortable. There is always the excuse of “this is a beach accommodation”, but this was obvious neglect. The bedding was mediocre, at best, with a very old comforter on the king bed, and a dirty, raggedy, thin extra blanket found in the other bedroom closet. We needed to go out to purchase our own extra blanket because one would not want to use the highly questionable comforter/blanket there. Bathrooms were clean but very worn—-original chipped/cracked tiles, worn grouting, poorly working shower head in second bath. Carpet was thick shag , old, and questionably clean. Vertical blinds were cheap and needed repair, at least, or complete replacement. Appliances worked (did not try stove), which was good. We have gone to Hilton Head many times over the years, but the last couple of times have been less than positive experiences. Accommodations are seriously deteriorating, and the congestion, even in off-season, take this destination off our list. What a shame!

The check in process and information provided by the property management company was terrible. I had to call them 3 times on the way to Hilton Head just to find out how to check in, where to get a key, and the exact address of our rental. My husband and I started to think we were being scammed. This process was a terrible way to start a vacation. The property managers had no attention to detail and were not helpful until we finally spoke to a third person who get everything in order with ease. The property itself is fine. The building, amenities, and apartment are old and worn, but fine for a quick weekend getaway. It is a great location for beach lovers, and the biking on property is fantastic.

Pretty good, great view!

  • 4 of 5

The view is amazing. That was one of the only reasons we picked it. The bed in the master was ok, somewhat stiff. There was a picture that apparently fell off the wall, that no one fixed, along with plenty of dings and scratches around the paint. The showers could use some TLC. The TV in the family room also has a pretty bad picture. But I cannot stress that the location is great and the view was awesome!

Great location but condo needs updating

  • 4 of 5

The view and convenience were great. However this condo needs to be updated. The sofa and chair cushions need to be replaced. The closet doors are off the runners. The vertical blinds are not good. The bathrooms could also use updating. Lighting in the master bath area is limited.

Additional comfortable balcony furniture would be nice.

We always enjoy our stay in HH and at Captains Walk.
