There are a lot of transportation options here; bike, car, bus, streetcar, tram, MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail, Zip Cars (by the hour or by the day), Uber, Lift, etc. You can take public transportation from the airport to the front of this house. There is dedicated parking if you have a car.
This location is surrounded by Colleges and Universities: Lewis and Clark College (2.4 mi), *PSU and it's amazing Saturday Farmer's Market (4.8 mi), *OHSU (3.6 mi), *University of Portland (10.9 mi), *NUNM (4 mi), Reed College (3.9 mi), *Marylhurst College (4.1 mi). *(Five out of 7 of these schools are on Bus line #35 which stops on the street in front of this house.
The Lake Oswego Trolley passes the house May-September. In Dec both the trolley and this house offer great views of the Christmas ships. Boat operators on the Willamette; Portland Spirit, Willamette Star and Jet boats, offer river tours of Portland.
This house sleeps eight. The upstairs has a ramp leading from the driveway to a large deck overlooking a long lazy “S” curve in the river. It is the best view in the house. The main floor has a nice kitchen and a dining/living in one large space. The two bedrooms, master and second bedroom, both have king beds (the second bedroom bed can be changed out for twin beds if requested). Each bedroom has a full bath, Master has a tub/shower-2nd Bedroom a shower.
Downstairs there are two more bedrooms and bathrooms. The third bedroom is a suite with a queen bed and TV/sitting area in one room and a full bath with tub/shower. The fourth bedroom/full bath with shower has a king bed that can be made as twin beds if desired. Downstairs is the laundry room, a small eat in kitchen and a river view patio. The lower level is accessible from stairs both inside and outside.
Classic Oregon Douglas Fir Trees tower over the river cliff and front garden. In the back garden there is a small pond and small trellised patio where you can BBQ (in the right kind of weather). From both yards and from almost every window in the house you can view wild life and all types of water recreation; sculling, speed boats, tour boats, fishing, paddle boards and kayaking. Dock access for a boat and water sports is available upon request along with stand-up paddle boards and life vests.
