After many years of adventures in Belize, we realized our dream of building a home there. When we are not enjoying it, we choose to rent it to others interested in discovering the wonders of Belize. We love to explore Mayan ruins, snorkel on the barrier reef, enjoy local culture and food, bird watch, read and relax ! We also enjoy to working on our house and yard!
SEAcluded Sands is a privately owned, beachfront home, located one and a third miles north of 'downtown' San Pedro, in the quiet residential neighborhood called Tres Cocos. There is a new bridge but still are no cars (except taxis) on this part of the island. You can walk, rent a golfcart, ride bicycles, use the Island Ferry or water taxi services to get to town. For your adventures, you will be picked up and returned to the end of the dock in the photograph, which is right in your front yard.
House Layout: The house features two verandas and has all living spaces on the second floor. This arrangement provides a superior view of the Caribbean Sea as well as well as the lagoon, and takes full advantage of the tropical breeze. The veranda off the living room and dining room opens to a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea. It is the perfect place to start your day with a cup of Belizean coffee and a book, watching the sunrise. Later, after a day of adventures, you can watch the moon through the palm trees and relax in the quiet of the evening.
Each bedroom has a queen bed with drawers below and a large closet. Both bedrooms open onto another veranda with a view of the lagoon, it's birds and spectacular sunsets! The futon couch in the living room opens into a double bed with closet space in the hall. There is also a twin size Aero bed available. This configuration can accommodate three couples on a budget, a family with children or be a spacious romantic getaway for a couple.
The kitchen is well equipped for those who want to explore cooking Caribbean cuisine with local fruits, vegetables and seafood. There is also a gas grill. The decor of the home is simple and features local crafts and woods. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and all areas have ceiling fans. We suggest renters reserve a golf cart for at least the first few days of their trip. Wireless internet is available for a charge of $60.00 USD. Cable TV, DVD player, beach towels, cell phone and bottled drinking water are included.
Management: Our home is managed by my niece and nephew who own and operate the award winning SEAduced By Belize tour company, as well as the Black Orchid Spa. Their staff can help with any and all of your plans and questions while you are in town. When you arrive in San Pedro, simply take a taxi the three blocks to their tour office. They will check you in then take you to the house and show you it's details.
Please note: This is a privately owned home and is not part of an apartment or condominium complex. There is a neighborhood security guard but not an on site manager. We are aware that many people are not familiar with travel in Belize. Feel free to call as we gladly answer all questions to the best of our ability..

We are a semi retired couple from Oregon. Wayne is an environmental consultant and I am a hospital art teacher in pediatric oncology. I first traveled to Belize in 1973 when it was British Honduras and since 1994, we have been coming almost every year. In 2001 we started looking for property and Rebecca found this lot on 9/11. Because of the attack, all flights were grounded so we bought it sight unseen! We knew the area well and it had 7 coconut trees, that seemed fine enough with us! We designed and had the house built the house in 2006.
Carolyn purchased this House in 2001
Why Carolyn chose San Pedro
We loved the location because it is close enough to town that we can easily bicycle in for dinner or groceries yet, far enough away to be peaceful and quiet.

Charming house on the beach - lots nearby to do
The house is located on a nice beach.
The lanai is wonderful - we spent hours sitting on it watching the boats and the birds.
We enjoyed the nearby local cuisine and especially enjoyed our adventure out to Secret Beach.... We had a great reef fishing adventure (arranged by Seaduced) with our fishing guide, Mr. Felipe. We caught 2 Trigger-fish and 1 Spanish Mackerel. We enjoyed fun evenings at Croc's and had delicious Lionfish at the Pirate's Treasure- both a short walk from the house.
It was a good place to kick back with comfortable beds and great wifi.
We had a great time staying here! Close to San Pedro, but out of the crowds. Seaduced picked us up right at the end of the dock for our snorkel trip. It was clean and well stocked for cooking. Everything worked perfectly.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Secluded Sands house. The morning sunrise was wonderful and the house quite nice. Having a local company look over any and all issues made our two weeks the vacation we had expected.
Having never been to Belize before we had no idea of what to expect of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye or the countryside.
We rented a golf cart for the two weeks. I guess we didn't use it a couple of days. It would have been more walking that I would have wanted without it. Nice small restaurants within walking distance, more within a short drive.
This wonderful house was a small slice of paradise. We would certainly see if it was available if Belize and Ambergris Caye is our destination again.
My family of four had an incredible time in Belize and really enjoyed our time together at Secluded Sands. The location is perfect. You can easily bike ride into town...walk to incredible yoga or coffee house...watch hockey at Croc’s or a movie at Trick Stop...drive your golf cart to Secret Beach...or catch a water taxi to anywhere else. My kids are 13 and 23, so one had to sleep on the Futon in the living room, which isn’t ideal, but it worked OK (I wake at 5:30 and need my coffee). Would have been best to have 2 twins in the second bedroom. Carolyn was a good communicator, and having Seaduced by Belize as the local manager was really helpful. They acted like a concierge at times, helping us with Golf cart rentals, water, banks, etc. As a cook, this is also the best stocked kitchen (pots and pans and utensils) that I have rented in a while. Quick note on Seaduced by Belize...there is a heavy push to use their tour services as the owners are related, which we did, but there are plenty of other less commercialized options. All in all, we would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others.
Beautiful House in Perfect Location!
Two of us spent eight nights here and it was perfect. The house is beautiful, the location is just north of the bridge in a beautiful neighborhood. The town is really close. We rented a golf cart while we were there for our entire stay which I highly recommend. We were able to eat in most nights (which we preferred). The kitchen had everything that we needed. This did not feel like a rental but more like a home. AC in the bedrooms kept us plenty cool at night. The owner was quick to respond with my questions and very accommodating in every way. I can't say enough good things about this house. We will definitely stay there again if we go back!
Perfect spot! Close enough to town but still secluded
My girlfriend and I stayed here with another couple and it really was a perfect set up for us. It's close enough to town (you still need a golf cart) that you can go in and out of town when you want but sits on the beach far enough north that the beach in front of the house is typically pretty quiet. The house is basic but is everything you'd want for a week at the beach. We could cook a few meals here and there so we didn't have to eat out all the time. Bring a lot of bug spray as the island can be buggy and I wouldn't recommend this place for more than 4 people as only the two bedrooms are air conditioned (not the living room). But I would 100% stay in this house again next time I go back. A really awesome setup and the owner and their staff were really helpful. See ya next time seacluded sands!
Tres Cocos is a residential neighborhood located about a mile north of San Pedro.
