Hello, my name is Amanda and Quechee, Vermont holds a very special place in my heart. My grandparents purchased the land back in the 1970's when I was just a little girl, and my grandfather designed and built the house. My grandparents are no longer with us, but their memory is very much alive today in Quechee. Our family and friends have shared many wonderful times at the house over the years. Warm and joyful Christmas mornings, delicious summer dinners on the deck, and countless dinner parties around the dining table. The house was always filled with plenty of love and laughter. As I got older and life became busier, I was always grateful for a trip to Quechee which brought me peace and relaxation. A quiet place where I could reflect. Today, I am happy to be sharing the Quechee house with people who share my passion for the outdoors and who are seeking a quiet getaway.

Perfect spot for a family getaway
Quechee sits roughly halfway been Hanover, NH, and Woodstock, VT, and Amanda’s comfortable home provided just the right setting for a short summer retreat w/ our adult children. We climbed Mt. Cardigan, explored Quechee Gorge, and otherwise enjoyed the surroundings. That the house is well stocked w/ puzzles and games worked out well when the weather turned a bit. Thanks, Amanda!
Thank you for the review Pat! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Quechee and your stay at our home; we look forward to hosting you again!
Comfortable house in a convenient location.
This is a comfortable home for a family. It was clean when we arrived. Amanda responded quickly to any inquiries we had. Everything worked, kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked quite a bit because nearby eateries are somewhat limited. Beds were all comfortable but on the soft side from what I prefer. Although the furnishings are dated and well used it is all functional . The area around Queechee/Woodstock has a lot to see and do, particularly if you enjoy outdoor activities! Very reasonable cost for a place that sleeps 6. Would rent here again.
Thank you for the review Holly. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Quechee and your stay at our home; we look forward to hosting you again!

Thank you for the review Carol. You are welcome at our home anytime.
Beautiful house with care. Amanda is a great host - very good communicator and caring - for the great rental. My husband and I rented the house for 3 nights for family of 6 to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Dartmouth College. The location was convenient, just 20 + min to Hanover, yet very seclusive. We enjoyed quiet late afternoon cool-down time at the balcony after very busy festivities. I recommend the house and host highly.
Thank you for the review Hiroko. We are so glad you had a great time celebrating your daughter's graduation. We look forward to hosting you again in the future!
Comfortable vacation home
We had a wonderful month at Amanda’s house. The home is comfortable, well equipped and in a convenient location. It was perfect for four adults and 2 children. Amanda was quick to respond to any of our questions or concerns.
We are thrilled that you were able to enjoy Quechee's winter wonderland! You are welcome at our home anytime and we look forward to hosting you again soon! Thank you for the review.
If you and your family and friends are outdoor/adventure enthusiasts or simply looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway then Quechee, Vermont is the perfect spot!
During the summer and fall months there are many beautiful hikes to explore.
Two of my personal favorites include:
Gile Mountain - EASY hike (1.4 miles) or 1 hour return.
Mount Cardigan - MODERATE hike (3.1 miles) or 2 hours return. Amazing hike!! Highly recommended. (see the picture of me at the summit of Mount Cardigan under the owner profile)
Discover the Quechee gorge! A Vermont attraction. You will look down 163 feet to the cascading waters of the Ottauquechee River.
I also enjoy canoeing and kayaking down the Connecticut River. For rentals and/or guided tours I recommend contacting:

Special experience: If you are an early riser, you may wake up one morning, look out the window and find a deer and maybe a fawn nibbling on foliage. Such a beautiful sight.
