Commonly Asked Questions:

The home is very close to the freeway, is noise an issue?

Answer: This home is located very close to I-5 which gives renters convenient access to anywhere they want to go. Noise from the freeway has never been an issue. The freeway has a sound barrier running between it and the street on the west side. The home is located facing the lake (west) away from the freeway and there is a row of houses between the freeway and the house. I am a light sleeper and lived there for 5 yrs and it has never been an issue.

Do you have suggestions for where to go, what to see and where to eat?

Answer: When you book our property we will provide you with tons of information about Seattle and the Eastlake Neighborhood. There is also a renter's manual located at the home that contains tons of information. We will help you make the most of your visit to the area and we are on call to answer any questions that may come up!!!

Vibe of the Eastlake neighborhood?

It has probably the most eclectic, if not unusual, assortment of architecture in Seattle, with floating homes, urban condos, turn-of-the-century homes, modern townhomes and old brick apartment buildings. This makes the area very fun and lively, both for residents and those who want to visit.

What are the Activities and Attractions of Eastlake?

Obviously, there are lots of ways to get out and enjoy Lake Union here. There is a boat launch for kayaks and canoes and many small parks dot the shore.

It’s always fun to grab a table on the deck at one of the restaurants along the lake so you can watch the boats and seaplanes. If you’ve got the time, you can go on your very own seaplane ride and get a great view of Seattle, and Eastlake of course!

About Anne

My Name is Anne and I am the manager and owner of Seattle View Property. As owner, I'm proud to extend my home to my guests. I manage the booking/scheduling, customer service and accounts receivables.

I always have time for my renters!!!

My family and I love to take quick trips to Seatte and stay at Seattle View Property. We love visiting all the parks and attractions that Seattle has to offer. I lived in the Seattle area up until a few years ago so I know the area very well and I can answer most questions you can come up with about the area.

Anne purchased this townhome in 2001

Why Anne chose Seattle

The home was purchased as my primary residence and then later converted to a vacation rental. The view was the reason I bought the house... instantly it made me feel like I was on vacation and I had to have it.

The location is great! The EastLake Neighborhood has many wonderful Restaurants and shops. There are always events going on close by. I love how the on and off ramp for I-5 is so close but you don't hear the freeway noise. It's close to downtown but you aren't kept up all night by the noise of downtown.

Eastlake is a village community in Seattle, Washington that lies between the eastern shore of Lake Union and the western side of I-5. Eastlake Avenue bisects the neighborhood running one and a half miles, from the length of the University Bridge at the north end to the Fairview Eastlake intersection at the south end.

What makes this townhome unique

Personally I like visiting the small park at the end of the street where you can sit and enjoy Lake Union, The houseboats and the beautiful artwork. I love all the small lesser known parks in the Seattle area, ask me about them.

The Woodland Park Zoo is not far away and this is always a favorite spot for the kids! I like to walk around Pike Place Market and go play at Gas Works Park. Seattle has many amazing Theatres including The Paramount, The Showbox and many others.

Great location, wonderful property, fantastic view

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful townhome on our recent Seattle getaway! Anne was wonderful to work with, friendly and helpful. The home is well maintained, the décor was lovely, and the amenities (garage, laundry, kitchen) were great. Fantastic views of Lake Union and the Space Needle. Lot's of great neighborhood cafes within walking distance. Breakfast at the homey 14 Carrot café got our day off to a great start. This location was perfect for exploring all of Seattle's neighborhoods. Don't miss Kerry Park - amazing views, Fremont - check out the Fremont Troll, Pike Place, Lunch at the Space Needle, and my favorite Chihuly Garden & Glass. These are only a few of the sites we enjoyed from our Lake Union home base! My only caution is that this residence is on 4 levels and folks with mobility issues may find it difficult.

Great location, well stocked, and great for families!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 plus my sister and brother and law stayed in this lovely townhome. The location was great! We had a great view and were close to downtown. We took bus 70 to downtown and walked around Pike Place with the kids and returned to the townhome to rest (my kids are young). It was nice to have the bedroom upstairs for my sister and brother in law and my family of four downstairs. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and I appreciated the little details (high chairs, stroller, etc). The kitchen was also very well stocked with dishes, pots, and so on. A great trip to Seattle!

Great Seattle location with fabulous views

  • 5 of 5

This home with the Eastlake location is ideal for getting to all of Seattle. Yet, the property is located in a beautiful neighborhood. You can walk down the hill to the coffee shop, small grocery store, or a local restaurant. But within less than a mile you are at the freeway entrance to explore all the Seattle area has to offer. No freeway noise either.

My favorite part of the house was the master bedroom balcony. I would sit out there in the morning with my Chia tea from Voxx coffee shop, or to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. I could not get enough!

There are quite a few stairs, but it was good exercise after all the eating and drinking. The best meal we had was from Daniel’s Broiler that is close by on South Lake Union. It has great views of the harbor and lake from inside and outside.

We will definitely rent this home again when we visit Seattle.

New Years in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family wedding just after the New Year. Our experience was AWESOME! Anne was a pleasure to work with and the home was immaculate. Travel was easy as the location of the home has easy freeway access. Everyone loved the views and our only regret was we wish we could have stayed longer.

A Jewel in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that we have stayed in this incredible home. And, we hope for many more visits. The Eastlake location is ideal for getting to all of Seattle. Yet, the property is located in a beautiful neighborhood.

The views from the main floor patio and the master bedroom are spectacular. Truly breathtaking. The great surprise here is when evening comes you get a perfect view of the Seattle skyline.

The home is so well maintained and clean that it is a step above a home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, whether eating take away or cooking a full meal. The appliances are state-of-the-art.

This home is beautifully decorated. Each room has its own special flair and feeling... very artfully decorated. In addition, all beds and seating are exceptionally comfortable. Special note to seniors: We had our 90-year old mother with us during our latest stay. There are quite a few stairs. But, this was NOT a problem as there are railings and stair pads all the way. She had no problem navigating all of the stairs and said she rather enjoyed all of the exercise each day.

Our most recent stay was in October 2015 for our son's wedding. We had family and friends in and out for a week. They all loved this treasure of a home. We had the added pleasure of meeting the owners while we stayed there. They are always easy to contact and go the extra mile to ensure the best stay possible for their guests. If we weren't already in love with the property, we would have been after meeting them. Not only do they care about keeping their home in shape, style, and comfort; they care for the well being of their renters.

The only negative for this property is that you need to check the calendar and book early. It seems that a lot of people are discovering this jewel in Seattle.

Amazing view is because this home is located on top of a hill overlooking the wonderful Eastlake neighborhood. Closest cross streets are Boylston Ave E & E Lynn Street. Eastlake is on the east side of Lake Union which is located directly north of downtown.

The location is perfect for exploring Seattle and the surrounding areas! It is very close to on and off ramps for I-5 North and South. The neighborhood itself doesn't have much traffic but has all kinds of transportation options. When you book this rental I include insider information into what to do and see while you are in Seattle!
