About Chuck, Laura
I am a retired college professor. My wife and I currently reside in Oklahoma and are happy to share our house with you!
Chuck, Laura purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Chuck, Laura chose Red River
My wife and I bought this cabin as 'retreat from the heat'. We loved the convenience of being right on the outside of town and, of course, being right on river.
What makes this Cabin unique

We had a great time, right on the river, perfect size for 4 adults. Great place for fishing, not too far from town. Nice and quiet!
The cabin was wonderful and cozy. The river out front was perfect.
From arrival to departure the stay was perfect. Everything was in order and easily accessible. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
Not my favorite place for the price.
Not a whole lot of seating in the living room. Mold in the shower. Shampoo bottle filled with water.
The place was outdated and not very clean
We're a ski family of 6, we come with clothes and food for 5 nights. We've stayed in 6 different places in 6 years, we love Red River but this was the least favorite place we've stayed. The first floor bedroom didn't have any closet/storage space or a t.v., we had to basically have all of our stuff on the floor and crawl around everything. The kitchen didn't have any cabinet space for food, we had to take up all the counter space. The kitchen lacked cooking ware. More than half of the cabinets were locked, not sure why. The linen, shower curtains, towels, and sofa were dingy and old. The hand written signs taped all over the house were very tacky. For the price we were charged, i think investing in a few upgrades would be good.
The nice things were, the river running in front of the place... and the location was close to town.
The cabin was well kitted: games, utensils, towels and bedding.
It was also perfectly situated just off the water, and just out of town.
My family and I look forward to our next stay!
Only drawback: we were never able to connect to the Wi-Fi; which for our overall purpose was not bad, but we had three students with us and one
needed to submit work. Notification that Wi-Fi was spotty would have been useful.
Thank you for your input!! Next time call us and we could have fixed it for you. Sometimes the router just needs resetting but it is located in another cabin. We look forward to hosting you again!
My kids really enjoyed being right on the river. The location is close enough to the town without being mixed in the busyness.
Northern New Mexico's family fun town with shopping, dining, hiking, biking, skiing, fishing and much more!
