Tree lined streets and suburban feel close to downtown. Braes Bayou is about a mile away with walking/biking trails. There are eateries within 5-10mins drive. For some fun local places.
You're right in the middle of a huge age-transitioning beautiful city of Bellaire within city of Houston built in the 30's. Bellaire is a prestigious and affluent city compared to most of Houston's neighborhoods and suburbs. As time goes by the city has transformed itself with a lot of modern new construction homes yet preserving plenty of older Ranch style homes, it is one of the most sough after neighborhoods in town. I've lived in the neighborhood for 9 years and loved the transformation from top to bottom.
Close to Braeswood Park and Ride in case you want to go to downtown, also only an approximately 0.5 Mile walk to Bellaire @ 610 (southwest loop) where buses go Medical Center, NRG Stadium, Light Rail can connect you to Downtown transit starting at 4:49 in the morning all the way to 11:49 in the night. I have done this Ride several times myself and its a good time to knock off a few pages on my E-Reader or even finish that report on my laptop....Buses also allow you to take a bike with you. You can also easily drive to the park and ride to go to Reliant Stadium (NRG Park).
