We absolutely loved our stay at this log cabin. Our family and our good friends stayed here during the Mid-Winter school vacation. This was my first time in Vermont and it was particularly freezing that week, so dangerously cold that Mt. Snow shut down the lifts for a morning. That didn't keep us from having a fabulous time. The cabin made our stay wonderful...we made a roaring fire in the beautiful stone fireplace, baked cookies in the clean, fully stocked kitchen, and our young kids (8 year olds and a 5 year old) loved the loft where they could have their own special hang-out area. The cabin has big windows and it is filled with light. My favorite memory is having coffee sitting by the big kitchen table window, watching snow fall gently into the forest out back, which was already blanketed in snow. I agree with the other raters that the pictures on this site do not do the place justice and that John and Betty Ann were great -- extremely responsive. We hope to come back!
The Owners are awesome. This is our 2nd time at the cabin. We just come to relax. But if skiing is your thing, this is the place for you. Short drive to skiing and some really cool bars and restaurants. The place is clean and it really makes you feel at home. Thanks again guys. I'm sure we will be speaking again in the future
We had an excellent stay at this home. The pictures do not do it justice - super comfortable, clean, neatly appointed and very cozy. The beds were very comfortable, the fireplace was amazing, and the kitchen is clean (as is the whole house) and well stocked. We have been renting homes in Vermont off and on for 10 years and this place is our new favorite. It has everything we were looking for - close to skiing, big fireplace, and easy to get to. John and Betty are overly accommodating. We would definitely go back and highly recommend.
My husband and I and another couple stayed in this beautiful log cabin for the tough mudder weekend and loved it. The pictures do not do it justice. The inside was open and immaculate. We had no reservations about cooking two meal there because everything was so clean. We would recommend this cabin highly and want to once again thank the owners for a great weekend!
I was looking for a nice getaway in vermont. My husband and I always wanted to stay in a cabin up in the mountains with the kids on Thanksgiving. Just searching through the web site I came across this cute cabin. I basically booked just upon pictures. When we arrived, it was more amazing than the photos. The place is just fabulous. The lay out is perfect. The cabin is very homey and spotless. The yard is perfect and location is great. We had a great time. We met few families at the club house, which was clean, and the pool was warm. It was a great time and we hope to come back soon. Our Thanksgiving was the best ever thanks to John and Betty Ann for renting their home to us.
My wife and I chose this cabin based on the photos and the location (and the fact that no pets are allowed)...but it was even much more lovely and enjoyable than the photos promised. The cabin is a very nice size and nicely secluded in a truly beautiful part of Vermont, and is also very tastefully appointed. More than any other cabin/rental home I've stayed in (there have been several), John and Betty's has a sense of HOME. It's a wonderful place and no one would be disappointed. We hope to go back sometime.
The Green Mountains of Vermont is a great place to enjoy the outdoors in all seasons. The activities include skiing (alpine & x-country), snow boarding, snowmobiling snowshoeing, boating, canoeing, kaykaing, fishing, biking and hunting. Along with these activities you enjoy our indoor heated pool and outdoor tennis court at our clubhouse where you an connect with wifi. A crackling fire at our log home is so relaxing at the end of the day.
