Overview

About the property

3 room/2 bathrooms, sleeps 6

Wonderful living space for practically any length of stay. The main attraction is Lake Lanier which is a short walk away from the home. We are located on the north part of the lake which is where the calmer waters and great fishing are. Downtown Gainesville is about a 5 minute drive which features great shopping and dining.

The Lakefront property has a private dock which is about 150 yards away from the home. The downstairs area is the entertainment area which has a play station and a pool table. The home features a 2 story deck with a 6 person hot tub.

Comfortable and convenient. Felt like home for the weekend!

  • 4 of 5

The house was very comfortable, and convenient to the boat ramp, shopping, and other activities. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Anthony was very easy to work with and responded to questions promptly. The walk to the lake is a little long with a heavy cooler, but it's not steep and is a pleasant walk with a light load. We would recommend this house and would also return ourselves!

Another wonderful Waterford stay

  • 5 of 5

We had another wonderful stay at Anthony's property. He updated the appliances in the kitchen since our last stay in 2014 and it was great to have the new refrigerator for our vegan family who eat massive amounts of vegetables! My hubby and daughter said the mattresses were new as well. The house is located in a super quiet cove far from the madness that LL becomes in the summer. We love the short nature hike to get to the dock as well as hanging out on it for hours. If you have handicapped or elderly guests, this property is probably not for you. The lake levels are down, but still plenty of water to bring the boats and float in the cove. This property has all the essentials of home and plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and be comfortable. If you are looking for fine linens and high end furnishings, go to the Ritz. If you are in the market for comfort, necessities and accessibility, this location is just around the corner from plenty of stores, restaurants and gas stations even though you feel like you are far from civilization! One thing to note is that someone has pilfered the hard drive out of the xbox in the game room so if you are bringing some kids who are video game junkies, they might want to bring their own console. It wasn't a big deal for us because we were there for outdoor fun, but it could be a problem if you have younger kids in tow. Thanks, Anthony, for another wonderful getaway at Lake Lanier!

Nice property for a family get-together

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a graduation and Mother's Day celebration. The home's features lent themselves nicely to the events. We enjoyed the combo living room/dining space for upstairs indoor gathering, and when the weather was nice also opened the kitchen door onto the patio to enjoy the upper deck as well. We had 4 young people at the party and they enjoyed the hot tub a lot. The pool table and PlayStation room downstairs also made for fun. The TV in the living room is large and new enough to have an HDMI port, which allowed us to use an Amazon Firestick we'd brought along, so as to watch things we wanted to see (otherwise the home's cable would have been fine). As the home's listing states, it only accommodates 6 for staying overnight, but it was nice to have a place large enough that other visitors could join us for our festivities and not feel cramped. Those of us that stayed in the house found the beds to be comfortable and other amenities good.

Anthony, the home's owner, was very accommodating. I had to change dates by a day, and also asked to bring a pet (but later we changed our minds). He was flexible with all of our requests and responsive.

If I had to list any negative at all, it would only be that those perhaps wanting upscale touches might be disappointed, in that the furnished towels, bedding, and dishware show some age. But, they are perfectly serviceable, so anyone not overly concerned about fancy trappings will be satisfied. The main furniture, such as the couch, are nice. We would rent this home again.

Not what we were expecting.

  • 1 of 5

Four of us came from separate states for a reunion weekend. Enormous disappointment to rent a lake home and find that there is no water in that part of the lake (there should be some disclosure that the dock is not usable). The dock that we planned to fish from is sitting on dry land and has been for some time. House needs some serious attention, painting/cleaning, linens and furnishings substandard. Hot tub barely works. We ended up leaving a day early because it was so disappointing.

House on Lanier

  • 3 of 5

I was somewhat disappointed about the cove being dry I had planned on bringing my boat in to tie off I understand the lake is way down due to lack of rain it should have a disclaimer saying shallow cove water may not be under dock at time of stay. The hot tub was nice and pool table over all the house was in good shape. The oven was missing a rack and we were trying to cook thanksgiving dinner took a little longer for the rolls to get done

Enjoy lake living by staying here. We are in a private cove very close to the 'diving rock.' 1.5 miles by water to Gainesville Marina for gas, supplies, and 'Scogies Restaurant'. Our cove is the entranceway to the most estetic part of the lake. There are plenty of tiny islands and coves in where you can get yourself lost in lake living.

The boat ramp is about 100 yards down a trail. Grill off the back deck, We are in a quiet neighborhood community.

The kitchen is full equipped including microwave, dishwasher, ice and coffee maker. The dining area seats 6. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor with an entertainment area including pool table downstairs.
