Beautiful, serene, and exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at many Home-Away properties over the years and The Cedar Chalet exceeded our expectations. The owner and the property manager went our of their way to make us feel at home. Our flight arrived 12 hours late that day and the property manager stayed up to meet us at 1:30 AM just to make sure we were OK, explain how everything worked and let us know he was there to help if we needed anything.

The Cedar Chalet is a beautiful and comfortable property. The hot tub was great and the 2 large screen TV's with hundreds of channels made the little time we had for relaxing in the evening great.

The location feels like you're out and away from town, but when needed, a drive to town is about 12 minutes from the Chalet.

The hiking in Glacier National Park is great. We enjoyed doing some good ones everyday.

We'd very much enjoy coming back again.

Fabulous Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The house was immaculate and in a great location--close to town for dinner options and close enough to Glacier National Park to make it an easy drive. Both the host and caretaker were very accessible if needed but not intrusive. They made sure we had what we needed. As others have said, it was fun watching the deer and turkeys come through the yard each day. The weather did not always cooperate but even when we stayed in, the house was cozy and comfortable--just what we needed for our getaway. The many satellite stations even allowed for some good football watching! Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location to everything we wanted to do/see. Glacier, white water rafting, zip lining!! The chalet is just beautiful. We cooked on the grill every night and watched deer, turkeys and the stars. A little piece of heaven for our vacation. Highly recommend.

Outstanding!! Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

Newer well built and smartly furnished and equipped chalet. Everything you need for the kitchen if you decide to eat in. It was clean and tidy inside and out and everything worked great. Private set up and great location. Don, the caretaker was informative and friendly. Due to our flight being delayed we arrived at a very late hour and he still took the time to show us how everything worked and all the literature about what to see and do in the area. Deer were in the yard and wild turkeys strolled through a few times.

Would definitely stay here again.

Wow!! Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying here. It was the perfect size for my wife and I. With 2 bedrooms, it would have been fine for a family with kids or 2 couples to enjoy.

Don -- the caretaker -- met us there when we arrived and took great care explaining all aspects of the chalet. Although he would come by everyday after noon to check the outside garbage can, water flowers, check the hot tub, etc we never saw him after the first day. He gave us suggestions as to where to eat and things to do (other than Glacier) in Whitefish.

The hot tub was perfect and just outside the door on the deck and as other have mentioned... it sure did help these old bones and muscles relax after long hikes in Glacier.

Every morning around 10am (like clock work), about 2 dozen wild turkeys would run through the yard. I started thinking someone was releasing them every morning at 10.

What a great place!! Thanks for making it available!

Charming Chalet

  • 5 of 5

I completely agree with the 2 previous comments from Cory S. and Sherry B. I feel like I am being so repetitive because the chalet was so perfect!

My friend and I set out driving across country to Montana. Since we had never been to Montana before I made a reservation at this chalet several months ago for a "home base". My first impression of the chalet was that it was well kept up and very charming. It didn't take long for us to "feel at home". It was absolutely perfect! The hot tub was an added bonus for us to soak our sore muscles from long days at Glacier NP.

The location was outstanding. The chalet was close to the town of Whitefish and the ski resort up the mountain. Glacier National Park was a quick 30 minutes to the West Entrance.

We loved the wildlife that came to visit us in the back yard daily and nightly (wild turkey's and their babies, the deer families and fawns).

I would highly recommend this chalet to my friends, or to anyone!

Thank you Patty, Don and Bud for making our vacation to your lovely chalet so special and relaxing!
