Park Adventures: At the park you can take advantage of many outings such as follows:
Helicopter Tours that encompass the entire park with breathtaking views taking you up to the Canadian border to Waterton Park. Half of the tours gives you a very good cross section of Glacier Park to let you view the Park's major glaciers and lakes.
Glacier Whitewater Adventure in Glaciers Country's high mountain peaks accumulate large amounts of snow each winter, which supplies an abundance of water for the Flathead Rivers Three Forks. This makes for wonderful spring time white water rafting which is quite challenging the Flathead rivers Middle Fork May - Sept seven days a week.
Horse Back Riding
You can bring your own horses and pack animals into the park. We have temporary stalls that you can use if you call ahead. There are some great trails that leave right from the house and many beautiful trails to ride in the park. The Tucker Lodge is almost completey surrounded by Flathead National Forest.
Northwest Montana offers native cutthroat, rainbow and brook trout in our lakes and streams.
The Highline Trail--This easy-to-moderate 12-mile (19km) round-trip hike, which gains only 200 feet in elevation, begins at the Logan Pass Visitor Center and skirts the Garden Wall at elevations of more than 6,000 feet to Granite Park Chalet. Keep an eye on your watch to be certain you'll have enough time for the return hike to Logan Pass. You can continue on from the chalet to ''the Loop,'' the aptly named section of Going-to-the-Sun Road where the trail actually terminates (an additional 4 1/5 miles [7km]), although you'll need to plan for a shuttle back to your car.
Piegan Pass To Many Glacier--If you're looking for a longer, tougher hike from Logan Pass, try this hike. You pick up the trail at Siyeh Bend about 3 miles (5km) on the east side of Logan Pass Visitor Center.
It's a 12 1/2-mile (20km) walk up over Piegan Pass, past Grinnell Glacier and Grinnell Lake to Josephine and Swiftcurrent Lakes before reaching Many Glacier Lodge. There are long stretches of up (and of down) walking.
