A stay in Malcom’s chalet is a wonderful Wengen experience
We had a wonderful short holiday in Wengen, the little Swiss village above Lauderbrunnen, accessible only by a little cog train. It was terrific. The 15-20 minute walk from town to Malcom’s chalet was on a twisty road through what was truly a magical forest complete with waterfall, creek, a little snow covered bench and the most incredible views of the Jungfrau Region. We (my husband, daughter and her boyfriend) enjoyed this walk during the day and after dinner in town. The chalet itself was clean and minimal . The beds were very comfortable. We even indulged in a little foosball tournament. While this may not be a 5 star resort, it is a wonderful 5 star experience. We hope to return to Wengen someday.
Beautiful view, comfortable chalet
Very nice chalet just outside of town, close to skiing. Amazing view out back window. Loved the sauna. Cooked 3 meals a day and used the sauna daily. Comfy beds. Loved the shed for skis and sleds. Super quiet at night. Have already booked a return visit here this summer!
A beautiful place to enjoy Christmas
We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the chalet over Christmas. The space was perfect for three adults and two kids. We had a series of unexpected travel delays due to an airline strike and were very thankful for the taxi information. Most days we walked the 15-20 minutes into Wengen, but it was nice to have the option if we were tired from a long day. The chalet had everything we needed to prepare meals, and Wengen was the perfect spot to head out for day trips in the area. The views were breathtaking, the people we met were friendly, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful property!
We were there for 2 weeks with up to six adults staying at a time. There was plenty of room for everyone and the sauna was a great hit with my two oldest sons and a friend who were there to run the Jungfrau Marathon. The location is perfect, only a ten minute walk from the train station, close enough for quick and easy access to stores and restaurants but away from any noise. The view and sound of nearby waterfalls were a perfect setting for a return from a busy day of activities or just to relax and enjoy the beauty.
Wow! It was fabulous! We were very comfortable in the chalet and loves being away from the crowd
Staying in this chalet was the best decision ever. We had everything we needed and a fantastic view of the Swiss Alps from our back deck. The town of wengen is small but interesting and even has a grocery store to buy food for your stay.
We would definitely recommend this property and would return again!!!! Thanks!
Beautiful chalet with a fantastic view!
My family of six had a great time in Wengen. The chalet is roomy, clean, and stocked with everything you need.
Set amongst the 4000m peaks of Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch, Wengen is a car free village of natural beauty. The village sits high above the steep sided Lauterbrunnen Valley and is reached by cog railway. Nearby attractions include Jungfrau 'Top of Europe', at 3454m it is Europe's highest altitude railway station giving access to Glaciers and an Ice Palace. The Trummelbach Waterfall and Interlaken with many picturesque lakeside villages are also popular attractions. Other Activities: White water rafting.
