Beautiful view, comfortable chalet

  • 5 of 5

Very nice chalet just outside of town, close to skiing. Amazing view out back window. Loved the sauna. Cooked 3 meals a day and used the sauna daily. Comfy beds. Loved the shed for skis and sleds. Super quiet at night. Have already booked a return visit here this summer!

A beautiful place to enjoy Christmas

  • 5 of 5

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the chalet over Christmas. The space was perfect for three adults and two kids. We had a series of unexpected travel delays due to an airline strike and were very thankful for the taxi information. Most days we walked the 15-20 minutes into Wengen, but it was nice to have the option if we were tired from a long day. The chalet had everything we needed to prepare meals, and Wengen was the perfect spot to head out for day trips in the area. The views were breathtaking, the people we met were friendly, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful property!

Ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We were there for 2 weeks with up to six adults staying at a time. There was plenty of room for everyone and the sauna was a great hit with my two oldest sons and a friend who were there to run the Jungfrau Marathon. The location is perfect, only a ten minute walk from the train station, close enough for quick and easy access to stores and restaurants but away from any noise. The view and sound of nearby waterfalls were a perfect setting for a return from a busy day of activities or just to relax and enjoy the beauty.

We loved our stay in the chalet. It was well kept and had everything we needed. Feeding 5 people in Switzerland is very expensive, so having a stocked kitchen to cook in was great. The view from the balcony was spectacular and we really loved eating dinner out there after a long day hiking through the mountains. The town is a 15-20 minute walk and has a grocery store, several restaurants, shops and a very cute playground area. After travelling for 3 weeks, it was so nice to have ample space to have a quiet moment. Check in was easy and we loved the woman who gave us the key. (I can't remember her name.) She was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips on making the most out of our time. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Wow! It was fabulous! We were very comfortable in the chalet and loves being away from the crowd

  • 5 of 5

Staying in this chalet was the best decision ever. We had everything we needed and a fantastic view of the Swiss Alps from our back deck. The town of wengen is small but interesting and even has a grocery store to buy food for your stay.

We would definitely recommend this property and would return again!!!! Thanks!

Why Malcolm Campbell chose Lauterbrunnen

Our chalet is on the end of a block of 4 with uninterrupted spectacular views across and down the Lauterbrunnen valley to the glaciers. We have a shed for boots and sledges etc and a downstairs area where have an additional shower and toilet and small sauna. We also have a great foosball game for the kids (and adults ;-)).
